Students at Kings College London (KCL) have successfully campaigned for the removal of a window featuring former Archbishop of Canterbury Lord Carey, an alumnus of the college, on the grounds that his stance on gay marriage makes him homophobic.
The move comes despite Careys reputation as a liberal while he was Archbishop, ushering in the ordination of women priests for the first time in the Churchs history.
The front windows of KCLs Strand campus, which line the famous London thoroughfare for 90 metres feature head and shoulders images of 50 well known alumni of the College, including former Prime Minister the Duke of Wellington who founded the college nearly 200 years ago; Florence Nightingale, who founded the Colleges School of Nursing; Archbishop Desmond Tutu; Bloc Party musician Kele Okereke; and Sir Ivison Macadam, who established the National Union of Students.

LOL, lib Archbishop wasn’t liberal enough for these young scumbags.
Let this be a lesson the RINOs who want to try to broaden their support by showing how liberal they can be. (amnesty, gay marriage, abortion, etc.)
More is never enough
...but it suits the devil.
Wait until they find out what Thomas Beckett thought!
Everyone must believe the same thing in order to achieve utopia!
True. No matter how much you bend over backwards to appease liberals on various issues, there will be some issue for which you aren’t liberal enough. And if you aren’t liberal enough on that single issue, nothing else you have done matters to the liberals.
In this case, they consider this man worthless over the homosexual marriage issue. Even though the liberals grearly approve of other things he has stood for. It doesn’t matter to liberals. Any deviance from any liberal view is enough to make you worthless and bigoted.
What part of “kick the b*stards out” does the college not understand?

So then they would campaign to remove a window featuring God?
Shame on them.
The “new” unforgivable sin?
If you calculate the rate of cultural change you will find it has achieved exponential levels.
Satan is happy.
I don’t feel sorry for him; liberalism is the devils playground; when you wallow in such a dark pit of destruction and despair; you can be sure your sin will find you out.
So many of his ilk; even after being burned; will still not see the light, they are on a like path of the career criminal, one can walk just inches away from redemption; but without light they will never see it.
BULL. 3 or 4 militant gay students got together and complain. If you look in to who actually complains about this stuff it is never anymore than 4 or 5 people.
Remember that poor guy who wore the shirt with the sexy girls on it AFTER LANDING A PROBE ON A COMET A BILLION MILES AWAY MOVING AT 50,000 MILES AN HOUR? 2 or 3 ugly feminists complain and the poor guy breaks down apologizing on national TV. I would’ve told those people to piss off. “I landed a probe on a comet today. What have you done with your life?”
One of you is right - and you don’t want to be reminded of that.
Heh. I’m reminded of when the deranged lefties demanded their fellow leftist Lawrence Summers resignation as President of Harvard Universe. A bunch of useful idiots here thought we needed to “stand up for Summers”. Why? Why should I help a Clintonite keep his cushy job at an ivy-league university? I enjoy watching liberals eat their own.
Most likely. Atheist students would complain the depiction of God is discriminatory towards them because it promotes a belief in a deity, and Muslims students would object to the window because depicting deities on windows is forbidden in Islam.
I would leave Archbishop Carey and get rid of Desmond Tutu.
