What a stupid idea.
Get rid of all the FALSE religions, and watch things take off.
You get rid of false religion like one gets rid of criminals: not by disarming the population but arming it, not by crushing freedom of speech but giving the necessary speech to fend off the lies.
Because even the idiot and the unjust, once muzzled, can be abused by government, regardless.
