Well to begin with the Shroud of Turin has already been fully debunked,

An argument or a piece of evidence would be appreciated.

Regardless, how was the ultra-thin, 200-nanometer surface image created?

Are you aware of the 3-dimensional terrain map that is encoded in the 2-dimensional Shroud image? This topographic map was discovered in the 1970's by a NASA scientist who fed the image into a terrain analyzer?

I'm a 3D illustrator, and I can tell you that this doesn't happen by accident.

Below is the 3-D image that emerged from a NASA VP-8 image analyzer in 1977, when the 2-D shroud image was fed through it.

That medieval forger was pretty smart.

There was 'no canonization of saints' until ruthless Pope Gregory the IX...... He is known for instituting the Papal ‘Inquisition’, under him gazillions of people were murdered. So he doesn't exactly have a stellar reputation for determining sainthood.

Additionally he was not a friend by any means to the Jews.....he invested the doctrine of perpetual servitude of the Jews – with the force of canonical law. (He was a lawyer).. Accordingly the followers of the Talmud would have to remain in a condition of 'political servitude until Judgment Day'....further ordering that all copies of the Jewish Talmud be confiscated and burned

HEY YOU! I’ve been dealing with health issues, a move, and just getting used to a new environment. And because I could not spend the quality time I wanted to, I chose to just read your comments and others on different threads. Hopefully I’m back with my armor securely in place and my STAND unfazed! Great to see you again, I’ve really missed all my brothers and sisters in Christ!

Maranatha,

Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Yes, there is the true Christ and false Christs; there are true prophets and false prophets.

But this doesn't negate the fact that false prophets cannot lead us to Christ, otherwise Satan's kingdom would be divided against itself, as Christ tells us.

Can Satan lead people to faith in Christ? Will he work wonders to lead people to Christ?

What do you say?

Jesus had harsh words for those who attributed his miracles to the working of Satan.

>>Can Satan lead people to faith in Christ? Will he work wonders to lead people to Christ?<<

To a false Christ which most people will think is the true Christ? Absolutely! The Christ of Catholicism isn't the Christ of scripture. The Christ of scripture paid the full price. The Christ of Catholicism only paid for past sins and "opened the door". The Christ of scripture paid the price "once for all". That Catholic Christ pays the price continually in an ongoing sacrifice.

The catholic church has bargain basements chocked full of junk they claim as "Holy"....and scads of it so called "discovered" every day to attract and deceive it's members with.

From bones and body parts of corpses they've dismembered which people bow and kneel before....to everything one's imagination can devise.....a lot of hocus pocus and drum beating around dead corses and dead objects related to them...

Christians serve a Risen Christ ... our Savior and coming King of all Kings....not dead bodies and creepy relics from the dark ages

The supposed foreskin of catholics Jesus

There was 'no canonization of saints' until ruthless Pope Gregory the IX...... He is known for instituting the Papal ‘Inquisition’, under him gazillions of people were murdered.

Gazillions?

The most recent scholarship shows the number to be about 10-15 people per year in the 350 year long Inquisition, which was part of a centuries-long effort to drive the Mohammedans and their Jewish sympathizers out of Spain.

This 1994 BBC production is worth viewing. "The Myth of the Spanish Inquisition."

Additionally he was not a friend by any means to the Jews.....he invested the doctrine of perpetual servitude of the Jews – with the force of canonical law. (He was a lawyer)...

Canon law is practical law regarding the day-to-day governance of the Church, and is subject to constant revision. In this case, 'political servitude until Judgment Day' would mean that Jews would be subject to the laws governing Christian principalities, and would presumably have no voice in twelfth century government.

I notice that you haven't presented a single fact "debunking" the Shroud of Turin, and I don't expect you to come up with a valid argument anytime soon.

For anyone interested in investigating the science behind the Shroud, I recommend this Shroud web site.

+ + +

Regarding "creepy" relics...

When my father died, I kissed his dead body.

Was that wrong? Was I worshiping him?

Was his body "junk"? At what point would it become junk?

Were Elisha's bones junk?

Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man's body into Elisha's tomb. When the body touched Elisha's bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet.
Regardless of our feelings about "creepiness" and "yuckiness," God sometimes chooses to associate the remains of holy people with miracles.

Relics

"...”A Cult is that which ‘claims’ to be rooted in hisotrical Christianity but has deflected or abandoned the finished work of Christ or compromised on His person.”....."

Or...with true Christianity salvation is the first thing settled, with all others it is the last.

Of course I'm not going to even attempt to debate about your project....I've already done enough research on it to realize that no matter what is evidenced it's a matter of what an individual..."Wants to believe"...rather than the evidence.

Of course it's creepy when catholic people are digging up dead corpses...dismembering them... and then storing and shipping various body parts to their churches for display and kneeling and bowing before them.....that's Jeffrey Dalmer stuff going on there!

Kissing a family member who dies in your arms is hardly comparable and just nonsense... there is no comparison apart from a deranged understanding of what a dead copse is.......though I can see why catholics make that comparison because they do have to find some reason why your church digs these bodies up after they've been buried and dismembers them for display......and further requiring their Priests to bow and kiss these body parts.....it goes against the natural revulsion God designed us with in every way.....bad enough catholics pray to departed saints let alone dig their bodies up in this manner.

God has made it very, and distinctly, clear we are not to pray to the dead .....catholicism has deliberately ignored God in this manner...and for that have gone so far as to pray to and bow before these corpses....sin will always escalate to that which is increasingly more sinful. ...and in catholicism's case with these dead bodies throughout your churches have given every "appearance" of a death cult. You cannot proclaim catholicism as Christian when deliberately making your churches into something Jesus never ever would have done nor stood for...never!

John 14:6 .....Jesus said.... “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Isaiah 8:19:....."should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?"

Deut 18:10-11: ..."Let no one be found among you who.... consults the dead."

1 Timothy 2:5 ..."For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

Matthew 22:32....‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not God of the dead, but of the living.”

....”with true Christianity salvation is the first thing settled, with all others it is the last”....

That’s exactly why many get involved and deepens for individuals who get into cults.......they don’t have the assurance of their salvation.....and in catholicism teachings that assurance isn’t even allowed to be considered for then their teaching on purgatory has no place.

I’ve also found in cults which claim Historical Christianity...that often it’s quite enough for them to “believe” even when the evidence shows otherwise that they should...because to not believe faces them with a decision they don’t want to make.

"....they don’t have the assurance of their salvation..."

Which would translate to "going into battle with no helmet on'.When that's added to the propensity of some to downplay the importance of scripture you have folks going into fight with no helmet and no sword. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out just who would want believers armed so.

Spanish Inquisition was only one of several at that time...look it up.

Further Jews died then...and their books burned...

We can get into this on another thread.
