He should visit the Smithsonian and use it to issue an ex cathedra statement making evolution an official Catholic doctrine (which it already is in all but name).

Of course, this will cost him some supporters of his ecumenism among some of his Protestant admirers . . . so some good will come of it.

Following his stop at the White House, the pontiff would go on to celebrate Mass at Washington’s Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

The Mass at the Shrine is probably conditional, pending how exhausted the Pope will be from his long plane trip and his meet and greet with his fellow tree-hugging socialist.

the funny thing is, is that the NJ KofC knew about all this about a year ago: Wash. D.C., the UN and Philadelphia...didn't know about madison square garden or visiting a prison in PA...I just rolled my eyes when the archbishop and the press wouldn't admit to anything until the Vatican confirmed the visit..

“Our plan is not to have a huge Mass outside of Philadelphia, because the focus will really be Philadelphia, because the Pope is going to the United States for the World Meeting of Families,” he explained.

the kofc was told to expect 1.5 - 2 million people for the mass, I don't know if that is huge to them or not, it is to me!!! we were told that 5,000 - 7,000 kofc volunteers from 5 states will be needed.

During his upcoming visit here, will Pope Francis effectively correct these two sin-abetting Cardinal-Archbishops (Dolan and Wuerl), and end the grave harm they are doing?    Will he address the evils the UN is pushing, and the evils the US president is pushing, and the evils the US congress is pushing?

Did Cardinal Burke's recent clear statements on the truth about the Holy Eucharist and the related evil sin of receiving Communion unworthily, the evil sin of abortion support, and the evil sin of support of homosexual "marriage" and of ongoing homosexual activities/lifestyles, play a major part in his getting "the bum's rush" from his offices within the Church from Pope Francis?

(These are not questions to be taken lightly, and it should be interesting to see what happens.)
