No it wouldn't scare you. Perfect Love casts out all fear. When the White Light hits(fills) you it is impossible to experience fear. This is why the power over darkness comes from Love. Evil beings are afraid of the Light.
When the portal opens up and the Light from above fills you, you can then pass through the many layers of darkness and see the fearful objects placed in the darkness without experiencing fear. The beam of Divine Light acts as a tractor beam, drawing the departed spirit onward into the Light. This beam gets narrow and focused the further you travel into it and is the portal or entryway into Heaven. If you are attached to physical objects or have unresolved guilt, fear or anger, it is very difficult to make it through. The Light forces you to let go of all impurities in order to move forward.
This layer of darkness and the fearful beings in it serve as an etheric fence to keep spirits that are not pure from passing into Heaven. When an impure spirit is in the darkness and sees these scary beings without any Light shining upon them, their fear acts as an anchor or ballast and they return to this realm where they are stuck without a physical body.
For some reason unknown to me, when I ask in prayer for this portal to open up for a dying person, it usually does. When I ask for the loved ones who already passed to come and greet the dying person, they often see them and talk about seeing them as they let go of their physical bodies and move into the Light.
This is a rather complex process and their are many variations, but the general description is accurate.
You can experience this same Love and Light from God through extensive prayer and meditation if done properly(from your heart and not your intellect) on a daily basis.

I read that when it was first published.
Eric makes it very clear that the mathematical probability for life on earth is infinitesimally small and therefore proof of God.
He make NO CASE for life elsewhere.
You either didn’t read or didn’t comprehend this reference either!
