1 Corinthians 11:27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. No where in that verse does it say they are eating flesh or drinking blood. They are eating bread and drinking the cup which Jesus Himself said was "the fruit of the vine". The bread and wine are spiritually symbolic of the flesh and blood of Christ.

In any theology one has to add the implied “of offending against.”
Whether the offense is physical or symbolic misuse is not addressed by this verse. Other verses bring the needed context.

The bread and wine are spiritually symbolic of the flesh and blood of Christ. see what trouble personal interpretation can cause???
Christ said "THIS IS MY BODY" when referring to the bread.

The bread and wine are spiritually symbolic of the flesh and blood of Christ. No, because in that passage and the next Paul said body and blood is there to be discerned.
