“No He didn’t. Only through the corrupting of word meanings does the Catholic Church assign the name “priest”. The truth is that the apostles called all believers “priests”.”
And we are all priests - just as all of Israel was a priestly nation (Exodus 19:6). And none of that changed the fact that God had a select priesthood as well. He still does.
“The Greek NEVER uses that word to describe the leadership other than the leadership of Christ.”
It doesn’t have to. Christianity uses Greek, not Greek using Christianity.

A lie perpetrated by the Catholic Church as daniel1212 has shown many times on these threads.
From your second link >>How can someone claim there can only be one priest in the New Covenant based on Heb. 7:22-25 and I Tim. 2:5, Jesus Christ, but then turn right around and claim all Christians are priests?<<
What a stupid comment. Jesus is not just a priest. Jesus is the High priest.
From your third link >>The Old Testament parallels today<<
The poor feller hasn't even figured out the difference between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. No wonder he was duped into becoming a Catholic.
From your fourth link >>Presbyter is indeed the word meaning elder--it simply becomes priest through the translation into English.<<
Wrong again as shown by daniel1212. And then he goes on to try to justify calling them priests because according to him they perform the same type of function. Let's stick with what scripture says not some conjecture and make up stuff.
All that Catholic babble doesn't hold up to scripture and is either made up by the Catholic Church or a corruption of scripture as we have it in the Greek.
