You don’t have to believe the scripture or pray to anyone. But anyone who is interested in Jesus Christ should do both.
That’s not what the Catholic church teaches nor is it what you claimed earlier.
You said it was a purifying of the soul from sins.
The judgment of the quality of our works is not the purifying of the soul from sin.
The works, allegorized as hay and stubble versus stone and metal, are tested and inferior works burn off. After that, the building becomes free from hay and stubble, that is, the man allegorized as a building becomes purified and through fire, saved.
Are you ready to confess your choice of the word "ploy" was inappropriate, or are you trying to translate the English word "ploy" differently than the dictionary ? Or do you really think it is "twisting the Scripture to insist Jesus is the Messiah, Isaiah prophesied the Messiah had no deceit in his mouth, and that therefore Jesus did not resort to "ploys?"
When you post about another member here, you should include his FR handle in the “to” field.
Also stick to the issues, do not make it personal.
Personally, I am not too concerned about being on the receiving end of personal slurs, because I know who I am, but these behaviors can cloud the issues.
Hang in there bro. We know who we are, so don't sweat the small stuff. Just remember, Jesus also took a lot of personal slurs too, and said if they dislike you, they disliked Him first. Keep preaching the gospel. The truth isn't always popular, but don't worry about it. 😄 We will be out preaching this week too. 🎆

I've been putting this material aside for a few hours to spend some time with The Lord at his weekly summons to assemble, and to rest a bit. But I haven't ignored the challenges here that need a proper response.
