My Angel is named John. When I was very young I am convinced I spoke to him. He’s awesome and always there when I need him.

Why does a regenerated soul need a guardian angel when the Holy Spirit already dwells within him. I'll take that protection over a created being protecting me.

Are you saying that you don’t sin?

The Holy Spirit would not be in your soul if you were in sin.

OSAS is a false doctrine. We are all sinners.

That's cool! My Angel's name is Roger. I've never spoken to him, but he's been there for me. Kept me from serious trouble and kept me alive, especially in the air :-)

Interesting...my Angel is a guy in black leather riding a Harley...seriously. I had car trouble on a Sunday on the interstate several years ago, no where near home. It was a rainy day and I had to get off the road as a part was scraping the pavement. It was like this guy was standing there in the parking lot, leaning up against the bike waiting.

He had on the most expensive clothes I have ever seen a bike rider wear. The irony was he had hearts embroidered on his round cap...surreal. Never thinking about his clothes; He crawled under my car, fixed it, smiled, and rode off ...and would not let me pay him ...unbelievable.

I have no idea what his name was, and I am still stunned at how that went down. However, right before I pulled off to the convenience store parking lot, I asked God for a miracle or an angel or something. It took maybe fifteen minutes all total.

Yes...and I still can’t believe it happened. The backstory is I could not have fixed the car, and I could not have walked home, it was out in country and on the Interstate, so I had no choice but to take the exit...one lonely store. God has always amazed me at his ability to take care of his own. I never thought of this guy, handsome too, as anything but an Angel sent by God, and he acted like my car was his mission. So cool.

My wipers got stuck and would not work and I was on the interstate about 15 miles from home. I pulled off at the next stop which happened to be a general store with auto supplies for truckers, too.

I got some Rainex and went back out to my car.

There parked next to me was a father with his kids, waiting for his wife to pick them up after he had them for the weekend. He helped me put the Rainex on, and I drove home the wiper stuck all the way to the left by my rear view mirror.

I offered to pay him for his assistance, but he refused, saying that he was just waiting for his ex-wife to pick up the children.

Not nearly as dramatic as your story, but nevertheless, I had never thought about it as a guardian angel guided occurrence.

I know exactly what you mean. Back during the big SoCal snowstorm of 2009 (which should tell you how big it was if we remember a storm from 6 years ago) we must've received 3' of snow within the span of a few hours. On the way home from work I spun out and crashed into a snow bank. No injuries but the car was buried in snow. It wasn't going anywhere. Within about the same timeframe as you some guy showed up in a panel van and a shovel and spent the next 45 minutes digging me out.

He didn't want money and didn't want any help. He dug me out and went on his way with a, "God Bless." Good Samaritan? Possibly. But there was an aura about that man that I can't put into words. I believe it was my guardian angel.

Cool! I think I talked to him as a child. I had an invisible friend as a little kid. His name was Johnny. I am female.

My friend said that you should pray for your Angel to reveal his/her name. I had forgotten about my invisible friend. I fell asleep and woke to the name John. I can't explain it.

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
1 Corinthians 6:19

Of course we are all sinners. Works based salvation is false doctrine. Are you saying God is enclosed in that little container you stare at during 24/7 adoration?

It’s called a monstrance. I don’t stare at the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ contained in the enclosed host. I pray.

I will also read the Bible or other religious books.

You don't have to explain it to them, They don't get it. To bad for them.

I like when my head is just swimming and I can't concentrate and I go to the Blessed Sacrament and all becomes calm.

Did you parents kick you out of their lives the day you were Confirmed? My guess is you still needed them.

It is too bad. But that's the crude protestant mind for you. Because they've not been given the gift of Faith to its fullest they can't help but describe the Body and Blood of Christ in the most base and carnal terms: enclosed, little, stare, etc.

This phenomenon is also witnessed when they concern troll about what takes place physiologically when we consume the Eucharist. Taking their cue from Luther on the matter who had a pathological fascination with such things.

But proclaim the Truth of the Eucharist we must. Even if they mock the Eucharist amongst themselves or to our face.

If the world hate you, know ye, that it hath hated me before you (Jn 15:18).

God is good...and those are special times, when things are just so bad that we need something special...thanks for sharing.

Amen! From me, and from Thomas, my Guardian Angel! Being at Adoration is like nothing we can describe in this world... Jesus in the Eucharist is, literally, Heaven on earth!
