The nature of the Trinity has been known since the first early Christians and has remained unchanged. St. Patrick in the mid 400s A.D. gave an analogy of the shamrock to help us understand the Trinity correctly. It has three leaves but is the same nature from the same plant.St Patrick was a little mixed up...As is your religion...There is one God, but three persons, but one person...
We don't need St. Patrick to tell us what he thinks the Trinity is...We have the same scriptures St. Patrick had available to him to research the Trinity...Whether Patrick used the scripture is anyone's guess...

For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23; Rom. 5:12; I Kings 8:46; Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:9; Galatians 3:22; I John 1:8-10)So Jimmy Akins, Catholic writer, says Mary never sinned. Paul says ALL have sinned. Who to believe? I think I'll go with the Word of God faithfully stated by the Apostle Paul rather than the words of men.
