You are right in saying that we are discussing when is Sabbath. I must admit that after reading the last line of the article we are discussing, I saw it said, "We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday."

So, admittedly, foremost in my mind and my haste to post quickly since I only have a few more minutes before leaving, I wanted to make it clear that as a Protestants, my church (the PCA, Presbyterian Church of America, the evangelical, and conservative offspring of the Presbyterian Church) does not hold worship services on Sunday because the Roman Catholic Church "transferred the solemnity" .... we do it to commemorate the day Christ arose.

If I am remembering correctly, you brought up the possibility that since quite a lot of scripture and prophesy spoke of or representing the "3 days", that, "Friday to Sunday does not pan out."

I pointed out that indeed, if you take into consideration that in the Old Testament the expression “one day and one night” was an idiom used often by the Jews for a day, even when it was applied to only a part of a day.... them indeed the commendation of the 3 days to Sunday does pan out, and scripture backs that up when scripture points to the first day of the week being the day that the tomb was found empty.

Now you are admitting that you are not contending He did not arise on the first day of the week.

Firstly, I am confused, then..... what exactly did you mean by,""Friday to Sunday does not pan out?"

And secondly you said, "The 4th commandment is God’s word about its time." IN reality, the 4th commandment merely says, "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy." If in the new covenant with God, the first day of the week is the sabbath day, then so be it.
