It was Jesus who spoke about casting the mote out of another’s eye when we have a beam in our own. It was He Who said, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone,” thus sparing the adultress, with an admonishment for her to “go and sin no more.”
Mocking His mother and her spouse for living in continence, and judging Jesus’ mother is not the same as judging one’s actions out of kindness and a desire for their salvation. Remember the parable of the Pharisee and the publican... God be with you!

I call it rude because, in the portion you omitted in your response here, you made two uncalled-for sarcastic remarks regarding Joseph and Mary, and their marital life.

>>Catholics do not place the Blessed Virgin anywhere. God has placed her where He has.<<

Please show where that apostles taught the assumption of Mary.

>>Some people seem to think that a pig-headed refusal to understand another’s’ position constitutes an argument against that position.<<

Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

"Another's position does not make it scripture. Let's stay with scripture.

“that Satanic deception.”

If you believe you can support this opinion of yours with any facts, evidence or logic, please do. Ping me, if you start a new thread that attempts to support your claim.

Until then, the syncretic history of the Roman denomination stands as Exibit A of my claim about a “Living Constitution.”

best.

We must be careful not to make unqualified judgments. But we must judge appropriately when commanded to do so.
“Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” (John 7:24).
Of course there is a time for the judgement of people’s actions. Jesus said “By their fruits you shall know them.” When a person is accused of a crime, yes, they should be judged. Fairly. Objectively. By due process.
The Pharisees and Sadducees used the law for political purposes, and Jesus admonished them for it.
This thread began as an anticipation and preparation for Christmas, the celebration of Jesus’ Birth. Can we not all unite on that one point, just for a moment, and rejoice together that Jesus came into the world?

The notion that a Grace does not exist because it is (in some man’s eyes) not “necessary” for salvation, is of and from Satan.

Who's stating that?

I always love the attitude of overflowing love that oozes from the RC’s when they shred others for being uncharitable.

The Mary presented by modern day Catholicism bears very little resemblance to the Mary presented in Scripture.

At yet Catholics place Mary in a place of authority. I see hypocrisy.

Even to the point of saying the Gad cannot refuse any request of hers but must grant what she desires.

As always, with Catholics, it's do as I say, not as I do.

I believe. That’s the long and short of it. I choose to follow the Roman Catholic Church, established by Jesus Christ while He was on earth, and His Vicar the Pope, who has succeeded in an unbroken line from St. Peter. I believe in the validity of the Holy Priesthood and the 7 Sacraments.
“By their fruits you shall know them,” said the One Whose mother was told in Scripture, “Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the Fruit of thy womb.”
Mary was conceived without the stain of original sin. She was, is, and always will be a virgin. She is Jesus’s mother and ours, given to us from the Cross. She was assumed into Heaven, body and soul, and crowned Queen of Heaven and earth, the Mother of God. This is what I believe as a Catholic and as a person.
All glory is given to God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Mary is not to be worshipped, but honored and loved for her privilege of being the Mother of Jesus.
I believe. I don’t ask you, nor anyone else, to do the same. I do pray that all people, every soul God has created, or will create, may somehow find Him, and that we may all be together one day in Heaven. I just can’t comprehend why Mary, simply as the mother of Jesus can be such a stumbling block. Even if one does not believe the tenets of Faith I’ve mentioned, wouldn’t one at least show respect for her, for her Son’s sake?
St. Paul said that now we see through a glass, darkly, but he also days that one day we shall see things as they truly are. Meanwhile, His children will continue to differ, but let’s always remember the Second Greatest Commandment, per Scripture: Love thy neighbor as thyself!
Peace be with you!

The Catholic Church does not teach sola scriptura. Either way, Mary is still the one who is Jesus’ mother. She deserves respect for that. Remember when Jesus was found in the Temple: when He went home, “He was obedient unto them,” that is, St. Joseph and Mary, His mother. Jesus respected her as such. And it would be against the Nature of Jesus not to love- especially not to love His own mother. Should she not be respected, if not loved, simply for His sake? Would she not, in Heaven, love all those who love her Son?

One of Jesus 7 last words on the Cross was, “Woman, behold thy son” and to St. John, “Son, behold thy mother.”
Note that St. Paul referred to the New Jerusalem, “the one which is above and free” a mystical reference similar to that of John in Revelation. Jerusalem was still under Roman rule.

Discuss the issues do not make it personal.

Forms of “making it personal” include mind reading, attributing motive, accusing another Freeper of telling a lie (because it attributes motive, the intent to deceive) - making the thread “about” individual Freeper(s)

Check out the Book of Revelation, where St. John spoke of “The New Jerusalem, coming from the Heavens.” It’s quite different from the Jerusalem of St. Paul’s time, which as I stated was under Roman Rule, not free.
Then check out the part in Revelation where John mentions the”Woman clothed with the sun...”

Just an aside...
About your name, I honestly hope you’re being facetious! I’ve been through an awful lot myself lately, and with the way the world is, I find myself feeling a bit cynical sometimes, too. May God bless you, and give you peace, especially in this Season of Christ’s Birth!

Of all people, wouldn’t Jesus, Who forgave His enemies and teaches us to do the same, love His mother dearly?

Would you leave the goalposts where they were?

When we show respect and love for His mother, does it not follow that He is pleased?

When your chosen religion elevates her to a GOD-like position; I doubt that Jesus is pleased at all!
