This is such an incredibly ignorant statement that its depressing. What the Hell is he talking about? Is he saying Christians go around killing Muslims and Jews? If so, name a Christian group or country that is doing it. Its a dangerous generalization that takes no account of what a Muslim fundamentalist is vs. a Christian fundamentalist.
Francis is the John McCain of Christianity.
The pope is wrong. Equating islam to violence is correct. Fundamentalist Christians are not violent. Fundamentalist muslims are violent. muslims who are not fundamentalists may be peacful but only because they don’t practice islam as intended.
I’m going to paraphrase Goldwater and say “Fundamentalism in defense of the gospel is no vice.”

This Pope does not get what Islam stands for - and attempting to find a common ground with this idiotic statement will only fuel the Islamic Terrorist further to continue to slaughter, rape, and pillage decent societies around the world until either they are defeated or in control.
Islam does not accept the Holy Mother or the Son of God. Islam is the counter to Christianity - Jesus warned all of us about such things.
