I guess they are coming home to Jesus and leaving the payers to the so-called saints behind. Which Is Called The One True Church.

A friend of mine from Brazil confirms this. Evangelical churches are feeding the spiritual hunger that the Catholic Church is failing to do. Particularly among the young.

Are they leaving the Catholic Church, or is the Catholic Church leaving them? I would say the latter with Pope Francis. I am not Catholic, but if I were I would have to rethink the church with him at the helm.

Great news anytime someone entrusts themselves to Christ!

Maybe a solution to the corruption can finally be implemented. Time will tell.

With the current survey and many more like it, one should note that it's presented as a Catholic vs Protestant issue, as if Catholics are leaving one Church and joining another, or forsaking one Credo for a different Credo.

That's incorrect. What's actually happening is that Catholics are being scattered among a multitude of sects and faith communities which are unified, for the purposes of this survey, under the umbrella term "Protestant". However there's no unity in what's happening. Those who leave Catholicism actually embrace a variety of different beliefs and doctrines almost as numerous as the preachers who sell it. I can't see that as a good thing unless one subscribes to the idea that anything is better than Catholicism.

As for rapid growth of religions, currently the fastest growing world religion, in terms of numbers, is Islam.

Just sayin'..........

I hope they enjoy the homosexual “marriages” and the Starbucks beneath the alters. I bet they will love the free wifi!

The Catholic Church teaches the heresy of liberation theology down there. No wonder they are leaving.

A personal relationship with God is available in the Catholic Church also.

I’m wondering if these people are being misled.

Many were raised as Catholics — they still are. They just need to sit down with a priest and talk for awhile.

I had to take three statistics classes in college and we learned all about surveys and polls. They are the LEAST reliable of ways to find out what people are thinking or what people believe.

ALL SORTS of errors occur: who, when, what, where and why they ask the questions they ask, to many surveyed folks give the answer they THINK the pollster wants to hear, to the pollsters themselves. The methodologies are RIDDLED with error and rarely, if ever, prove any hypothesis.

Therefore, this survey is HOOEY.

If they reversed the opinion but still used this USELESS "survey" method, it would still be HOOEY.

They can't even write correct English. One RAISES animals and crops and REARS children. THAT is good and standard English.

Of course, these folks MAY be the product of public school education and thus, their ignorance might be understandable in some areas of the country.

Really good news. When you preach the Word, lives and nations are transformed.

There is no way to get more up close and personal with the Lord God, than to consume His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity in the Holy Eucharist. I am sad to hear that so many souls are losing sight of that.

If the Church doesn't reach out to this generation, we're going to risk losing them,

Naw, they're going to lose them anyway whether they reach out or not...With the invent of the internet, young people are able to see the fallacy of the Catholic religion in all its gory glory...
