SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Court decisions this week paving the way for same-sex marriage to become legal in dozens of states, including Mormon strongholds like Utah, Idaho and Nevada, have emboldened a growing group of Latter-day Saints who are pushing the conservative church to become more accepting of gay members.
The church's stance toward gays has softened considerably since it was one of the leading forces behind California's ban on gay marriage in 2008, but high-ranking leaders have reiterated time and again the faith's opposition to same-sex unions....

Now that “gay marriage” is legal, how does one seriously stop the clamor (and there will be one) for polygamy?

We can’t, not by the methods we’ve used for the last several years.
Districts are gerrymandered to support pro-deviancy politicians (even ignoring the massive voter fraud), and even those politicians who initially support the sanctity of marriage are either bought off or corrupted by the culture of prostitution in DC. To break this corruption, we’re probably going to need to have a strong President who is willing to ignore the rest of the deviants in Congress and states which dare the appellate judges to enforce their deviancy on the rest of the population. The American system will have to dramatically alter itself to represent the taxpaying majority of American voters.
The real question is when the Democrats will start trying to court Mormon voters.

Yes, both of those great people would be willing to ignore a corrupt Congress and Supreme Court, so their leadership would be an excellent and necessary beginning.

Nevertheless, no respectful coexistence is possible with the Left. Elitism is antithetical to Christianity and it’s the main cause of the Left. When you desire to control your fellow man, you’ve fallen in with Satan whether you realize it or not.
It’s an opportunity to reestablish the right of free association, thought and conscience. Sadly, our government school system is brainwashing the next generation, just like it has for the last half century.

Gods word is clear, but didn’t stop the Episcopal Church...these people think Gods word needs to be updated with the times. They are called liberals and they poison anything they touch...government, education, religion, Boy Scouts, transfats....need I go on?
um... its one thing to say all sinners are welcome into the church (for all have fallen short of the glory of God) It’s quite another to endorse their sinful behavior.
In order to endorse homosexuality... the church would also need to endorse adultery. Since all sex outside of marriage is adultery.
Although...there could be a revelation?
Perhaps allowing gays into the priesthood.
That only works with the “No True Scotsman” argument. Because some churches do endorse homosexuality. Heck, the Quakers have since the 1960’s.
Same with churches of “Reconciliation” within Methodists.
