Where is the border between Islam and Islamism? The media says that the two are different as night and day; Islam is a religion of peace, and the Islamists have stolen the name. Others believe that Islamism represents the traditional, pure Islam, true to the Koran.
This latter view is advanced, remarkably enough, by a theologian Martin Rhonheimer from a university endorsed by the Pope. He is a professor at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome and wrote an essay on this particular distinction in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung.
You do not hear many official Muslim voices condemning Islamic State, says Rhonheimer. And when it finally happens, it is usually only to condemn the bestiality because it harms Islam’s reputation. The Islamic State is no heresy, but “a recurring pattern in the history of violent expansion. The model is Muhammad himself.”
“Islamic State’s legitimation finds its basis in the Koran and Islamic law, the Sharia,” believes the Catholic professor. He states: “You will find no arguments within Muslim theology that can be used to condemn Islamic State’s behavior as un-Islamic.”…
Martin Rhonheimer then goes through the suras in the Quran that prescribe what should happen to the conquered Christians and Jews, and points out that the Islamic State strictly adheres to these regulations. Islam would like to influence the state and society in details, emphasizes Rhonheimer.
“Islam is more than a religion. It is cult with political and social rules and unites religion and and political and social order in one. And it has always been violent,” he says.[...]
Moderate Islam has its advocates, often professors at Western universities.
“But they are confronted with Islam’s central problem: when they return to Islam’s origin, they come across the warlike, expansionist Islam from Medina, the legitimacy of killing for Allah’s honor and a violent Muhammad,” writes Rhonheimer.
Obama and CAIR (Council of Angry Islamic Radicals) tell us that ISIS isn't Islam, which is a “religion of peace.”.
But didn't Mohammed do everything that ISIS has done -- raiding villages, kidnapping, rapes, mass murders and beheadings, forced conversions, selling woman and young girls into slavery?
So please, somebody tell me what ISIS is doing that Mohammed himself -- the wretched, bloodthirsty murderer and child rapist -- didn't condone and exemplify through his own orders and actions? How is ISIS different?
And by the way, if any of you ever happen to be at an Obama press conference, or interviewing a member of his administration or a CAIR spokesman, maybe you can ask that question.
I would really like to hear their answer.

Islam is in its purist form is a war plan.
I laugh when I read “islam is cult”. Historically it is not and is considered the 3rd major religion in the entire world.
There may be “cults” inside islam but in entirety it is not.
What we have here is fundamentalist islamic groups within islam that have become cults but in totality islam as a whole is a set of religious beliefs incorporating political power, their own laws and ideology and this is where it is dangerous because it is an entire belief system- a oligarchical theocracy which according to my last look up in the Constitution of the United States is un-recognized .
I don’t see it as a cult either. It is a holistic prescript for societal behavior enforced by the severest of measures. I’m certain it was enhanced in its infancy to ensure survival through pernicious methods that remain attractive to the inhabitants of the vast Middle Eastern region.
the problem here we have is these muzzies in political power making inroads within the US court system and the least perceived injustice automatically goes to trial to win $$’s.
There are some states within the US that recognized islamic Sharia Law court system and THAT IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL within the boundaries/confines and borders of the US.

It is a most dangerous system worse than Hitler because these radicals use everything we have to their advantage and against us. this is not about melting pots, this is not about inclusion this is not about multi-cultural diversity;this is about you & me & everyone else on FR & otherwise who are American that love our country, that love our Constitution, that love the freedoms (diminished) we have and had.
