I have had this mildly, as part of my condition is inflammatory arthritis (so mine was likely an inflammatory issue) - Pineapple in quantity eaten regularly helped me, As did the salt/glycerin nasal spray.
Thank you! I’ve tried everything on that list but eating the fresh pineapple and the nasal spray. I’ll give them a shot. Interesting (and wonderful) they helped you. And, yes, I have had help with holistic means. Drinking [more] purified water and staying away from coffee has helped the most. Melissa essential oil has helped too, but there’s a big price tag on that. Thanks again!

roamer: I have tried homeopathic remedies such as this: http://www.thereliefproducts.com/ring-relief/ and similar type products from various manufacturers. I really don’t think homeopathy is the way to go for me, but if it works for you or others great.
In addition I’ve tried antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, vitamin supplements, swimmer’s ear treatments, and white noise (maskers). Nothing has worked for me. I haven’t tried the pineapples though, that’s pretty much the only thing on the list you provided I haven’t tried.
Today is better than other days. Some days worse than others (yesterday was really bad).
