The changes make no difference.

First, since you're all Christians pinged here, I'd humbly ask that you all pray that my tinnitus be taken away by our Lord and God Jesus Christ.

So shall it be.

Lord, I'm sure I am not alone with this request.

Many I feel are praying the same thing, that this ailment be reduced, lessened and taken away completely.

I can only hope that it IS your will to do so.

Amen.

We ain't that far ‘separated’ that we won't pray for one an other!

....”I will tell you that God DOES have sufficient power to enable Mary to hear all the requests for her intercession addressed to her, whether you believe God has that power or not.”.....

Nobody limit’s God’s power to do what HE wills....but that’s really not the question you appear to want an answer for.

If or not mary mediates between God and man seems more like the focus.....which has been debated here for some time now.

It really doesn’t matter if she could or not hear millions or even one.......because in the Roman Catholic Church, and the people in the Roman Catholic system, you do HAVE TO believe about Mary, period. So it’s only significant to you.

Whereas we who do not have to worship Mary have no concerns at all, for we know she’s dead and her soul is with God....

Romans first chapter tells us that when people suppress the truth of God and or reject that which can be known of God that is in them, they will in the place of God create their own idol in the form of man, as well as beasts and other animals...... It’s quite unusual in our society though for people to worship a dead person. Nevertheless, the catholic church still holds to it’s med-evil ways.

And we all know the great esteem secular universities have for Rome.

Heck, even Catholic Universites support gays and baby murder.

Wonder how Billy Graham got couched in between such. I guess such a post should make your list of fallacious straw man arguments:)

Everyone sins. When they do, they're not "remembering" Christ. ... So the more reminders of Christ (about the home) the better, so you can choose His path and not one of sin. ...

So, in your Roman Catholic economy, the Holy Spirit is worthless in the fight against sin in our personal lives?

But, that is nothing that is taught in Scripture. We are told to have NO IDOLS or pictorial representations. We are told to, instead, rely on His power working through His indwelling Spirit in our lives to bring us to that perfect state.

But, we see with Paul, that it is not possible to live that perfect life. Sure, everybody sins. But, a perfect understanding of God's Word reveals the answers needed, and they don't reside in graven images and idols.

Please take the time to allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you about these following passages in Scripture. They are inter-related and follow a common theme!

Romans 7: ...14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!

So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin. ...

...

Galatians 5: ... 5 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

2 Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. 3 Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. 4 You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. 5 For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope. 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. ...

...

Ephesians 6: ... 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

I was wondering about that. Billy Graham has led more people to Christ than anyone I have read about or listened to. Why do they hate him?

Jesus preached in the Temple with Divine authority.

He preached at a WELL...

He preached at a dinner table...

He preached from a mount...

He preached in a olive garden...

He preached at a taxcollectors house...

He preached in a boat...

He preached from the cross.

Probably for the same reasons you want him to jump into rabbit holes.

Fundamentalist minds are either incapable of grasping a higher level of thinking or as is usually the case they are, like Muslims, impermeably closed to acute reasoning and analysis: Hence why the crack open the Bible and toss out snippets of scripture.

Thank GOD!

2 Corinthians 1:13-14
For we do not write you anything you cannot read or understand. And I hope that, as you have understood us in part, you will come to understand fully that you can boast of us just as we will boast of you in the day of the Lord Jesus.

... open the Bible and find how many snippets of scripture (OT) that Jesus and the others quoted as they spoke.

So mortal sin versus non-mortal as specified in the Bible does not signify "gradation of sin" to you?

Where's the list?

Sigh...

No sin is so little that it will not, if unremoved by the blood of Jesus Christ, send its perpetrator to the pits of hell. Yet, no sin is so large that it cannot be washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ.

But with over 800 posts in two day then this one certainly has seen the most responses due to RCs trying to defend a tradition of men which has a special psychological content. I dare say a post attacking the deity of Christ or the whole Trinity would see half the responses by RCs.

However we do see Roman Catholics post on threads where Christians defend the Trinity and Deity of Christ doctrines. They come on and state to the opposing view "no you can't find these doctrines in the Bible but need the councils for answers" thus bolstering the position of the Trinity and Deity deniers and then leave the thread.

This is the rut Fundamentalists get into because the intellectual tradition is beyond their grasp.

We mouth breathers don't seem to become upset that you continually try to yank our chains by repeating your list of folks that must live in your head a lot.

You need a new type of invective.

(Yeah; I had to ask Roget what that last word meant.)
