A man of such profound theological ignorance doesn't deserve any office in any church.
Exactly. The guy is too dumb to even know what he was doing.
The problem is that we have so many dummies (mostly older VII clerics) that they are seriously skewing the message.
Well, yeah ... sure. We know that the illiterate Mohammad heard about the Bible during his caravan trips. And clearly the mad prophet ripped off passages to build his Satanic religion. But so what? There have been many a heretical off-shoot from Christianity, and islam was just another. Islam was clearly the worst because Satan used it to spread misery throughout the world to an extent not equaled by other heresies - but I don't have a problem with conceding to the Cardinal that Islam ripped off some religious phrases and foundational statements from the Bible.
But what does the Bible say about those that add and subtract from these 'foundational statements'?
Revelation 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Deuteronomy 4:1-2 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you. Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
