There are a hell of a lot of abusive women these days, too. Men don’t need to submit to them or fight them. Get away from them.

This kind of abuse happens in EVERY culture and faith, NOT just the cultures and faiths that may be loathed on this site. It's a horror that both genders, all ages and all socio-economic groups have to deal with.
There are strong women and weak men in this world, since we inherit HALF our genes from each parent. And our parents inherited HALF of their genes from their parents. It goes all the way back to Adam and Eve.
Submitting to the strong spouse, whether male or female, or fighting with them is totally unnecessary and those who assume that faith, culture or socio-economic decide on whether there is abuse or not, haven't got a clue.
So, THAT being said, men and women DO EXPRESS themselves very differently. That DOES have to do with culture...BUT not necessarily faith or socio-economic status.
It's rather difficult to paint human behavior with too narrow or wide a brush. Generalizations DO make people feel comfortable, especially those generalizations about groups that people here don't like.
YOURS is the very best advice: GET A WAY FROM THEM.
