Christ did not leave us a book and tell us to figure it out for ourselves.

For God so loved the world that He did not send a committee, even when it's renamed as *infallible magisterium*.

Faith in Christ is faith in Christ. The body of Christ is not Christ Himself.

The church, the body of Christ, did not die for me. Jesus did.

Peter said in Acts 4:12 that there is no other name to be named by which men must be saved. It's through Christ, not the church.

You can trust religion if you want.

I'll trust Christ, who loved me enough to die for me and in my place.

Trusting Calvin is not the same as trusting Christ. Trusting in one's ability to authoritatively interpret scripture is not trusting in Christ. It's a delusion. Nietzsche's will to power, protestant style.
