Don’t you mean the Protestant bashing threads?

>>We have been called out from them.<<

Obviously He does "meet" people there or He wouldn't be calling them out of there. If they hadn't met Christ they wouldn't know His voice.

Through out history pagans have always outnumbered true believers.

Wow! Your lack of faith in God working His will regardless of man is astounding.

Very sad statement. The Catholics only put the Books together after they were written. God was the author. We would still have it. Thank God for the KJV. The Catholics back then did not want it in the hands of ordinary people which is very wrong. I was researching my late husband’s ancestors and what I learned about that era was disgusting. The Catholics murdered people because they did not want that to happen.

People do not “meet” him at church.

We meet him when and where the Father calls us.

“Church,” as it has been for the last 1800 years, is not a part of his kingdom.

His true church has met “wherever,” and his few, the elect, do quite nicely outside of that circus.

Joel Osteen, David Jeremiah, and Rick Warren may ‘feel’ otherwise, as they guard the wide path.

Numbers only count when it’s the numbers game. Not surprising in the least.

Of that 1.2 billion strong that they like to brag on, they’re still counting me because I never officially left the RCC and asked to be taken off the membership rolls.

And I don’t know of ANYONE who has ever done that. And there are non-Catholic churches chock-a-block full of people who were baptized and raised Catholic and left the RCC.

So the number is actually a false representation of the actual numbers of people who at least even consider themselves Catholic, much less those who are actual practicing Catholics instead of cultural Catholics.

Catholics didn’t even exist until the mid 4th century.

Their purpose was to tribulate the elect, and slaughter them for keeping his commandments.

The catholic church has purged God’s original word from his apostles, to such extent as they have been able, and continue to attempt to do so.

Fortunately, the original Gospel written by Matthew made its way around the world centuries before the Pagan catholic church of Constantine was born, or we might have little of the apostles testimony.

I’m fascinated by what I am seeing.
I was invited to be a reader at Mass tomorrow. I’ll do it because I expect to speak to people informally about their faith.
This thread has been informative.
Before this thread, I thought my hatred of CatholicISM was simple: Transubstantiation, the priests and the hierarchy, rote prayers, tradition, dynamic interpretation of tradition, ignorance of God’s Word, reducing Jesus Christ’s importance, works-salvation, paid divorces, Mariology, intercessory prayer, Christ on the crucifix, infant baptism, purgatory, Narthax sales, and a few more things (feel free...)
Now I’m struck with how confusing CatholicISM is to its adherents. This has been like playing “Whack-A-Mole”. The contradictions, the subject changes, the endless desperation to hang on to what is obviously wrong, and more.
I commend those who have fought the good fight here. God bless you.

Thanks for your posts.

I'd like to make a couple points from my own experience with the RCC.

As I've said before, everyone in my greater family was a DEVOUT Catholic. The Bible was more like a furnishing in their houses - not used, not read, not understood. Biblically, we were all illiterate.

When I first heard about "the second birth" and the gospel, I was already in the university. I thank God for Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship.

In the "transition period" (while God was working on my 'restoration process'), I would attend a Baptist service with my friends. They'd go to breakfast together (and have fun) and I would run up to meet my "holy obligation" (and not have fun.) I went to the late Mass because of the FEAR that the Holy Roman Catholic Church puts into the minds of its adherents.

One last point regarding the RCC (dis)use of the Bible. My sister (who btw, has the required two-part Catholic name) was a lay teacher in CCD. A couple weeks into the class, the priest warned her not to use the Bible anymore because she was "unqualified". Imagine that!

.

I know: These are my anecdotes. (I have a lot of them!) I do not mean to harm anyone by telling them. I HOPE that someone might be coming to the same kind of realization that I did 40 years ago. Catholicism is wrecking people's lives and leading people away from God's Truth.

Amen?

AMEN!.....

BTW...you mentioned....”FEAR that the Holy Roman Catholic Church puts into the minds of its adherents”....

Interesting you mentioning this as those I’ve met and know who left the catholic church all seem to have that common experience of fear...even from childhood when they’re raised in catholicism.

Very happy God snatched you out of it and you are free to enjoy Jesus as he intended you to.

Considering some of the claims made by Catholics on this thread, there’s no telling what’s sarcasm and what’s serious!

Catholics were the first Christians and Catholics still call the shots.

Jesus “calls the shots.” Or have you set a throne for yourself higher than His?

Your comment says a lot about your man made religion and it’s traditions.
