The article below was written by one of the worlds foremost experts on the Crusades. I saw it over at Shoebat.com and was so impressed by it I wanted to post it here. It kinda long but it is written very well and is an easy read. I would deem this as a MUST READ and I’m sure many of you will.

I just recently borrowed a thick tome by an oxford scholar on the crusades.
I barely got into the first chapter when my “radar” picked up a blatant anti-European, anti-Christian bias. Maybe I am hypersensitive, but is it not true, that if there had been no islamic takeover, there would have been no Crusades?
Kind of like blaming America for responding to Pearl Harbor.

And that is true for only ONE reason and ONE reason only: Christians demanded it in the name of human decency.
The Judeo-Christian ethic is THE dividing line between Eastern barbarity and Western civilization. If we want to preserve Western freedoms, then it is NECESSARY that we specifically cite willingness to adhere to the JD ethic as a requirement for living in the West.
You don't have to be Christian nor do you have to be Jewish -- you can be any religion you want, but if you observe the basic DECENCIES of the JD ethic, you'll fit right in. If you refuse to on the grounds of your religion ... go move to another part of the world. In America, the JD ethic RULES.
