RE: If God wanted to make a square circle, He can do it.

So, what does one call it? A square or a circle?

RE: I’ve thought sometimes that God might show us all the “what ifs” when we get to heaven.

There is a branch of Christian Theology called Molinism, named after the one who popularized it — Luis De Molina.

He was a 16th Century Jesuit theologian.

Molinism is a religious doctrine which attempts to reconcile the providence and sovereignty of God with human free will.

William Lane Craig and Alvin Plantinga are some of its best known advocates today, though other important Molinists include Alfred Freddoso and Thomas Flint. In basic terms, Molinists hold that in addition to knowing everything that does or will happen, God also knows what His creatures would freely choose IF placed in ANY circumstance.

This part of God’s omniscience is called MIDDLE KNOWLEDGE.

I posted it above.

Matthew 4:1 Then Jesus was led up by the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

Matthew 4:3 And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the son of God command these stones to become loaves of bread”.

Matthew 4:5-6 Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him “If you are the son of God, throw yourself down for it is written ‘He will give his angels charge of you’ and ‘on their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone’.

You’ve got that a bit backwards. Who put the idea into that person’s head? It certainly wasn’t Google. :O)

I bet God can make a hole in one at 300 yards with a pitching wedge....

He could make a 300 yard hole in one with a fly fishing rod...Or an Oldsmobile...

God cannot give in to temptation.

God can not even BE tempted...Temptation for Jesus was a human attribute...That's why he became human so he could see what it was like to be tempted, among other things...

God cannot just belong to any one particular church.

I nearly know those verses by heart and I STILL don’t see where you say Jesus was worried. Where’s the worrying? Satan tempted (Satan’s action) Jesus, but unsuccessfully, because Jesus was not tempted by Satan’s tempting.

I think I’ve said that, in so many words throughout this thread.
