My heart breaks as I write this....as I have posted before....my daughter has been fighting Heroin addiction.
Yesterday....after entering sober living....she relapsed and OD'd. The medics brought her back....but we have no idea as to what to expect when we get to her....we are flying to her side as we speak...
Please pray for our daughter...pray for us...to allow for God's will and grace to find and cover her in His healing.
Prayers up from here in PA...
May HIS Angels surround and protect you all.

Yesterday was full of ups and downs…
Amanda appears to be coming round…but appears to be facing a very long battle. As of now we have no idea as to what tomorrow will bring, so we must take this one day at a time and not rush to judgment…as to what will be...
I continue to pray the Lord is still working in her and us…and that this is not a sprint…but a marathon.
Please continue to pray for her, for her family and friends...and to let God’s will to be done.
Lord, go to Amanda’s side and help her fight this battle. Already her Mother has been won for your Kingdom. May the battle for Amanda’s body and soul be victorious. We lift her up in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Our Lord has now made you and your wife into a strong team for Amanda.
Believe that He has a plan for the three of you—a future and a hope—not for evil but for good(Jeremiah 29:11).
He will restore the years that the locusts have eaten(Joel 2:25-27)
A cord of three strands is not easily broken(Ecclesiastes 4:12).
Continue to speak words of love and encouragement to her, even while she sleeps. Our Lord is the Great Physician, the God of healing.

Pray....keep praying....may God’s compassion and grace be shown to Amanda....and His strength and peace be given to us her parents and friends.
A Bible passage I have constantly referred to over the last 24 hours....
“Rejoiceq in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

We spoke with Amanda quite a bit today.....she is very upset to be in her bed....and wants to go home. After talking, it is clear that she knows why she is in the hospital....and is very cognizant of what is going on.
It is heartbreaking and also positive. She understands the need for therapy....but is depressed that she may stay “broken”.
Alyssa and I have been reinforcing the positive....telling her that she is loved more than she can understand....and that she will need to fight hard...day-by-day....to get back to mobility....I believe she understands...
Please pray she gets into the Cornell Intensive Rehab/Therapy program in the hospital.....I’m concerned she may not be physically up to it...but hopefully her stamina grows each day.
Thank you all for the prayers....please continue....God has her in His grip....and I must have faith that He wishes to heal her mind, body and soul.
Thank you for keeping us updated on Amanda’s progress. Prayers have been sent for continued strength and healing for you all.

Some positives....some concerns...but this is not a sprint but a marathon...
Amanda has been moved off the ICU (praise God)....she had some solid food (puree)...She assisted in feeding herself to a small degreet....it is a start of a long journey...
Amanda also has started to move her weaker left side...although it is was just a little....gripping with her hand and pressing with her leg was big progress....again....a first step of many to come I pray.
She does appear to have an issue with her pupils....they are dilated which prevents her from focusing....so although when I spell a word out she knows what it is....reading the words is near impossible at this point....
Please pray in earnest for her sight issues to come around and that she gets into the intensive rehab program in the hosiptal....she needs both immensely.
Thank you all for your continued prayers....PLEASE don’t stop....our Lord hears us....He is with us...

Patricia....thank you for the words of encouragement....We need Jesus now more than ever...faith, hope and love.....we need all at this time..
Amanda was awake every minute we were eith her yesterday....I senes the frustration building in her as she becomes mow aware of the challenges ahaead. She, from a mental state, appears to be far ahead of her physical state....
I am on my knees praying the physical and visual aspects of her injuries improve day by day...Alyssa and I are doing all we can to keep in the moment and let God handle the tomorrows....it is very hard....
Again, thank you....and pray for Amanda to continue to improve physically and visually....and that she be brought into the acute rehab program in the hospital....pray, pray, pray....

Tough day yesterday for all of us....I know this journey will have its ups and downs....trying to stay in the moment and look forward....
