(Vatican Radio) Pope Francis returned to the southern Italian city of Caserta on Monday for a private visit to the Pentecostal community known as the Evangelical Church of Reconciliation. The Pope first met the founder of the community, Pastor Giovanni Traettino, during his time as archbishop of Buenos Aires and over the past year he has met and received groups of Pentecostals at his Santa Marta residence here in the Vatican.

Of course, all of the Apostles were Pentecostal preachers ;-)

“Sounds way too much like another world wide major *religion* to me”

And you were baptised Catholic and you’re still a Catholic, just put lapsed in front of the word. You and Nancy Pelosi have a lot in common. Both Catholics (whether you want to acknowledge it or not), and both badmouth the Church they were baptised into.

I’m well aware of the word games Catholics like to play by changing the definitions of words and then taking on the superior to thou attitude because others aren’t “in the know” of the latest corruption of the definitions.

It so feeds the spiritual pride of some so they can look down on others who they can deem not as good as themselves.

You’ve been exposed.

If you cannot stop from making it personal, how about just not saying anything at all?

I mean it.

Discuss subject matter rather than persons...or leave.

Shutting up would do the trick, in the meantime.

Yes, he’s bringing some folks to the New Religion, but not to Tradition. With any luck those folks will find the Traditional Catholic Faith.

“You’ve been exposed.”

No, you’ve been exposed. Again. Everything I said about “conversion” and “reconciling” is indisputably true.

“Yes, he’s bringing some folks to the New Religion, but not to Tradition.”

False. Converts are often the ones who are drawn to tradition. Lifelong Catholics are the ones who are too likely to be lukewarm about the Church’s traditions because they were raised without much tradition. The number of converts who are interested in the Latin Mass is high, while most Catholics have little initial interest. Ever notice that?

Those Francis is “converting” are not Tradition-minded. And if a convert is Tradition minded, it isn’t Francis that is converting them. That’s for sure.

“Those Francis is “converting” are not Tradition-minded.”

I didn’t say they were. Those converted are or become interested in tradition, however.

Those converted who are interested in Tradition didn’t convert as a result of Francis. Francis is the most anti-tradition pope since Vatican II. Unless they converted in spite of Francis.

“Those converted who are interested in Tradition didn’t convert as a result of Francis.”

I don’t think you can logically claim. People are converting. Catholics are coming back to the Church in Europe, South America, etc. You cannot say that none of them have an interest in tradition as if you have interviewed them all.

“Francis is the most anti-tradition pope since Vatican II.”

Maybe, maybe not. It seems to me that to evaluate that you have an instant problem with John Paul I and Paul VI.

“Unless they converted in spite of Francis.”

That will happen too. It always does.

So where are you getting your conversion info from anyway? There will be conversions regardless. You are claiming it’s because of Francis. Please prove your claim.

“And the truth shall set you free”.

Which is exactly why these anti-Catholics are in such mental bondage.

Yes, two old articles from just after Francis’ election. How is that so-called “Francis effect” working out these days?

You made the claim. You prove it. I don’t have to do the work for you.

And don’t call me lazy.

There will be some smartass who says I am confused. Not so, there is no confusion in Christ. I am free.

Not I! I thank you for sharing your journey.

Find out.

“You made the claim. You prove it. I don’t have to do the work for you.”

I did prove it. And, yeah, you’re going to do the work because I did mine.

“And don’t call me lazy.”

Struck a nerve did it?

By the Lord's own words spoken directly to myself, He twice over said very plainly to me, "you are free".

Are you greater than God? Should I listen in the slightest to you rather than Him?

Forget it. I shall not.

The enemy of our souls seeks to break in, to kill and destroy.

It appears to me that both of you two gents are trying to destroy that freedom which I do have, given to me by the Lord Himself.

Why, oh why would a person ever seek to take that freedom given to another by God Himself --- unless they themselves were in bondage to the evil one...and sought to ensnare others in the same bondage that they were in?

No need to answer that, gentlemen, for I know the answer already, as I have been already set truly free.

Enough, anyway. No more cages.

If you disagree with that, make certain you bring a proper warrant, written by proper authority.
