It was a century ago that the Catholic Bishops first called for socialized medicine. In the 1930s they worshipped at the shrine of FDR. Since then they have continually perverted Jesus's call for charity into a call for government welfare.

Since the beginning, charity has been one of the charisms of the Church: orphanages, hospitals, aid to the poor, etc. Within my lifetime, the Catholic Bishops have outsourced that charism to the government. Now they're getting what they deserve. Unfortunately, the rest of us are getting it too.

Thats a big generalization. Catholics have ten's of thousands of hospitals across the country. They have always wanted to help the poor. Every single religion has been infiltrated and manipulated by enemies to humanity, the only difference is that the tenets of the Catholic faith remain unchanged, unlike every other religion out there.
