Announcement: 9 November 1871

Groundbreaking and Site Dedication: 9 November 1871 by Brigham Young

Private Dedication: 1 January 1877 by Wilford Woodruff, Erastus Snow, and Brigham Young

Dedication: 6–8 April 1877 by Daniel H. Wells (with Brigham Young presiding)

SNIP

The St. George Utah Temple is the first temple where endowments for the dead were performed.

The Founding Fathers of the United States of America appeared twice to Wilford Woodruff in the St. George Utah Temple asking why their temple work had yet not been performed on their behalves. A striking painting depicting this singular event hangs in the temple lobby (That We May be Redeemed by Harold I. Hopkinson).

The message is the medium. The Bayeux Tapestry isn’t Fine Art by any stretch,(or even an actual tapestry) but it is still a cultural icon.

Their heads look like they’ve been photoshoppned onto their bodies. Not the guy at the desk, but most of the rest of them do, anyway.

“The Apostle Paul discusses the lost Christian practice of baptism for the dead in the Bible (lost to all but the Mormons).”

It may be understandably hard for you to believe this, based on some of our previous discussions, but I genuinely would like for you to explain this either privately or publicly to me. I would like to understand what your position is. I promise that I will not attempt to refute it, either publicly or privately, unless you invite discussion from me.

I see this as perfectly in line with the purpose of the Religion Forum.

thanks
FL

"Perhaps. Religious fervor has caused many a strange vision ever since we first stood up on our hind legs and looked to the heavens in wonder."

Nully...! You're a talking dog?

Our Founders were NOT mormons in their times
_____________________________________

That’s the whole thing right there...

They are now...

They “demanded” to be dead dunked into Mormonism and so they were...

Just like Obamas Mom Stanley Ann Dunham..

In June 2008 Stan Ann was dead dunked by the Mormons thus making her a Mormon and then she was given all the highest honors, anointings, and endowments and temple married to the polygamous Barack Obama Sr and sealed to her son Barack Obama making him a Mormon also..

That Nov we got our first Mormon president...

You have to understand to the Mormons this process is real..

Obama is as much or more of a Mormon than Willard Mitt Romney is..

and while Willard could be excommunicated but I don’t think he can because he has probably had the much coveted “2nd anointing” Obama cannot lose his Mormonism..

Dead dunking and sealing cannot be reversed..Joey Smith didn’t write a “prophecy” for that occurrence...

Meanwhile the Mormons dead dunked several of my Christian ancestors too..

So the guy who shows up in the End Times and kicks Satan’s butt and kills vast numbers of his minions is not your Christ?

Good to know.

"One of the ways you can tell if God is present is by the peace, love and godly spiritual confidence that is communicated to your soul, such as at the temple. "

Teppe, another way to discern God's presence is whether a prophet's predictions come true or not. According to the Bible, if the prophet is of God, the prophecies will always come to pass. None of Joseph Smith's ever did.

mormonISM does not worship the agod or Christ of the Bible.
mormonISM worships a man who became a god (among many)
mormonISM worships a christ that worked his way to some worthy state
The Founders would laugh at mormonISM, they believed in an eternal God, not a nan who was called a god

Bayeux Tapestry?

LOL, at least the world has a chance to see it. Doubt that will ever happen at the St. George temple. BTW I heard the church has now removed Hopkinson's painting of Moroni from the Manti temple.

I wonder why.

According to the Mormons those “vast numbers” killed were men, women and children in Central America when their jesus visited that area during his 40 days after sweating and bleeding for them in the garden.....

St. George will be forever burned into my mind (and guts)as host city to a Golden Corral buffet joint....ate there on day one of a driving trip and got the pukes and sh*ts that lasted to Idaho Falls, Cody, and on into Wall, South Dakota.

Transcontinental ptomaine...

I don’t like St. George either. Went over there for an echocardiogram followed by an angiogram on May 29 and ended up in intensive care after flatlining on the table. Whew!
