Knowing God has long been a favorite of mine--probably time for another rereading. But it's the only one of Packer's that I've read. Having retired recently, I have more time for reading now and am willing to read more by him.

His expressed favorite is The Quest for Holiness, which I'll now look into. But what are your recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for asking.

Knowing God tops my list as well.

"Fundamentalism" and the Word of God is Packer's exposition of the doctrine of Scripture. It was actually the first of his books I read.

Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God (sometimes published as Evangelism and Sovereignty) is about the relationship of the doctrine of predestination and human responsibility, particularly where it concerns proclaiming the Gospel. It is also excellent.

I'll put in a word also for Keeping in Step with the Spirit, about what it means to walk in the Spirit (per Galatians 5:16). It's brief, but good.
