Forget decades of scientific studies and transgender people’s own lives—the Southern Baptist Convention has gone ahead and decided gender is only about your junk.
“Gender” refers to one’s felt, and societally constructed, sense of being male, female, or somewhere in between. As understood by a generation of psychologists, sociologists, and other scientists, it is distinct from sex, which has to do with biology, genitalia, and genetics. Put roughly, sex is between your legs. Gender is between your ears.

There is no “gender” by this definition. Sex is solely determined by what you have between your legs.
If you are born with a penis, you’re a male, regardless of how you “feel”.
Makes sense to me. Oh, that’s right, this is the day and age where common sense is thrown out the window. Gotta love those Baptists.
I’m sure the Southern Baptists are also “hetero-normative” for not recognizing homosexual marriage.
They are probably also “binary” in their thinking about sex and gender. They probably think in terms of only male and female.
Yep, in a world in which Facebook lists 56 different gender possibilities, these Southern Baptists are hopelessly behind the times, and just not “with it”. (sarcasm)
Let us not forget the chromosones, I wouldn’t want those science respecters on the left to forget about that, even though you can’t see them with the naked eye, or feel them in your heart.

Can I ask a stupid question, about the “junk”?
Isn’t it based on visual observations, that people say “it’s a boy” or “it’s a girl” when a baby is born? Should we not talk about such things when a baby is born, because for all we know, that baby will grow up to be trans-whatever????

And there we have it, mankind was made “male and female”. It can’t be plainer than that.

I appreciate your giving us the appropriate quotes from Scripture.
Unfortunately, too many liberals think that God just wasn’t “with it” when He set down such standards. And if they get into a discussion with you, probably will say that God made homosexuals that way, made the trans-whatever peoples that way too, and thus, we shouldn’t say anything about it.
After all, they say, The Bible is 2000 years old, times have changed, God never wrote about impacts of modern technology, God didn’t anticipate that we would be able to do sex change operations someday, yadda, yadda, yadda.
If what’s between your ears doesn’t match what’s between your legs, it makes a whole lot more sense to change what’s between your ears. Ideas are a lot more fluid than physical reality. Folks change their minds and learn all the time. If your thoughts don’t coincide with what’s going in reality, your thoughts need to be adjusted. Simple. Or so one would think.
Having to check one’s gender on a form is rather insidious. Just helps pave the way for this nonsense. What they mean to ask is “sex”.
It has nothing, necessarily, to do with sodomy. (Plenty of “manly men” engage in sodomy, some with women.) It’s about reality. With a few genetically-damaged exceptions, human beings are male or female.
Male dressing as a woman ... still male. Male having hormone treatment and amputations ... still male. Psychologically, spiritually, and physically messed up male, but still male.
I stand with the Southern Baptists in this decision. We must hold the line against this gender-bending lie from Satan.

I had a whole lot of college and USMC buddies who were ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that they were "God's Gift to Women!" and many did their best to collect empirical data to certify that notion.
Their "research" was about as valid as much of the research done in the fields of sociology & psychology and more so than most "Gender Studies".
Hey the Left gets to make its own definitions ,so can we. The Southern Baptists are right. There are no transgendered people. DNA is definite. There are only mutilated mentally ill people.
