‘The California pastor, a graduate of Biola University’s Talbot School of Theology, told his congregation in February that he had recently informed the church’s elders that he now personally affirmed same-sex relationships.’
Then the board of elders should’ve fired him then and there on the spot.
“On an earlier thread about this guy, the article said that many of his congregation got up and left when he took this left turn.”
Good for them. I hope they find Biblically orthodox churches to go to instead.
I actually came through the lord after reading “The 1980’s, countdown to armageddon”. I don’t subscribe to much of anything he teaches any more, but the book was the last straw that brought me to Christ.
I’ve since caught Lindsey in a bald faced like in a book called, IIRC, A prophetical walk through the holy land. His description of the contents of a photograph was insulting in its “baloney content”. I think most of these guys that make a living off bible prophecy are phoneys.
I get my 70 years from my own study of the bible, likewise the things that pass during the generation’s lifetime. I have no clue where Lindsey got his 40 years from.
On a side note, I’m amazed how gullible people can be regarding the teaching of “religious leaders” when the pass through the doorway into a church. I used to be one of them. I suppose to a degree we are all gullible in one way or another.
BTW, you mentioned rapture. To me, “rapture” is just a word to mean something. For me, it means whatever happened on earth to the people described in Revelation 7, right after the 144,000 are sealed, that caused them to be in the condition they are in there.
