Guillotine, Gulag and Gas Chamber: The Glorious Gifts of Atheism to Humanity

Imagine there’s no heaven It’s easy if you try No hell below us Above us only sky Imagine all the people Living for today…

Imagine there’s no countries It isn’t hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion too Imagine all the people Living life in peace…

- John Lennon (Imagine)

There are lies, damned lies, and neo-atheist polemics. One of the most egregious examples of such godless mendacity is the claim that religion has been the cause of most of the wars that have blighted humanity throughout its blood-stained history. In a world with “no religion”, so the argument runs, there would be “nothing to kill or die for”. Such nonsense is only believable if we remain willfully ignorant of the lessons of history.

Almost all wars have been the consequence of human selfishness (a synonym for godlessness) and have been carried out according to the principles of that proto-secularist and incorrigible atheist, Nicolo Machiavelli. Although secular rulers have sometimes used religion as an ethical and ultimately ethereal veneer to justify their actions, war has almost always been the consequence of Machiavellian realpolitik. This includes the so-called wars of religion, most of which were fought by power-hungry princes eager to impose their egocentric wills on their neighbours.

Thank you for posting. Aside from being a bit too harsh on Machiavelli (I’ve never read that he was an atheist, and recommending religion for the masses, which he did, isn’t exactly proof that he exempted himself), excellent.

The slaughters discussed were the results of atheist ideologies that became atheist religions, attracting fanatic believers and punishing any heresy. The leaders may have been cynics but they enforced a religion.

There is an altar to Kim Jong Un in every North Korean home, and every North Korean family, who don’t want to end up dead or worse, worships him every morning.

Atheism is the modern form of “I'll do it MY way” whined, screamed and moaned to the world and to God.

THANK GOD that our good Lord cares!!

He's your basic PIMP who will eventually die and be replaced with yet another dictator.

THUS the continuing ravages of communism.

At worst, including the Inquisition, the Crusades, etc., the body count is in the thousands. And the “Christians” who committed these murders weren’t exactly complying with the dictates of the faith.

But socialism, on the other hand, is soaked in blood. Socialists killed over 100 million of their fellow human beings in the name of their “god” as soon as they had the ability to do so.

It is the Roman Catholic Church that has given Christ and Christianity a bad name. I refer to the many wars fought in the name of (so called) Christianity.

Enter NKP, hitting the RF with thread after thread bashing Protestants while pushing his totalitarian, tyrannical, brutal Roman institution. This he does on one hand, while on the other, hitting the atheists on this thread for the same tyrannical and brutal things his institution is known everywhere for. go figure.

It is your institution, sir, that has given the left in general, the atheists in particular, all the ammo they need in their fight against true Christianity.

When the antichrist finally takes his seat of world power, resulting in a massive persecution of Christians, it will be you and your institution the root enabler. Speaking of enabler, your current marxist Pope comes to mind.
