One Hundred Fifty Reasons I'm Catholic - And You Should Be Too!
http://www.ourcatholicfaith.org ^ | January 23, 2014 | Dave Armstrong

1. Best One-Sentence Summary: I am convinced that the Catholic Church conforms much more closely to all of the biblical data, offers the only coherent view of the history of Christianity (i.e., Christian, apostolic Tradition), and possesses the most profound and sublime Christian morality, spirituality, social ethic, and philosophy.

2. Alternate: I am a Catholic because I sincerely believe, by virtue of much cumulative evidence, that Catholicism is true, and that the Catholic Church is the visible Church divinely-established by our Lord Jesus, against which the gates of hell cannot and will not prevail (Mt 16:18), thereby possessing an authority to which I feel bound in Christian duty to submit.

3. 2nd Alternate: I left Protestantism because it was seriously deficient in its interpretation of the Bible (e.g., "faith alone" and many other "Catholic" doctrines - see evidences below), inconsistently selective in its espousal of various Catholic Traditions (e.g., the Canon of the Bible), inadequate in its ecclesiology, lacking a sensible view of Christian history (e.g., "Scripture alone"), compromised morally (e.g., contraception, divorce), and unbiblically schismatic, anarchical, and relativistic. I don't therefore believe that Protestantism is all bad (not by a long shot), but these are some of the major deficiencies I eventually saw as fatal to the "theory" of Protestantism, over against Catholicism. All Catholics must regard baptized, Nicene, Chalcedonian Protestants as Christians.

4. Catholicism isn't formally divided and sectarian (Jn 17:20-23; Rom 16:17; 1 Cor 1:10-13).

5. Catholic unity makes Christianity and Jesus more believable to the world (Jn 17:23).

6. Catholicism, because of its unified, complete, fully supernatural Christian vision, mitigates against secularization and humanism.

7. Catholicism avoids an unbiblical individualism which undermines Christian community (e.g., 1 Cor 12:25-26).

8. Catholicism avoids theological relativism, by means of dogmatic certainty and the centrality of the papacy.

“church STILL gave Kennedy a Catholic funeral”

You mean sort of like the state funeral that worshipping protesants gave serial plagerizer, woman-beating communist Martin Luther King when he died? And now have a huge monument erected for him in Washington DC like he was some greek God.

Please list the 10 best Popes. Oh, I pardon me, there were no good popes. Silly of me to ask.

>> Ah, all those satanists mascarading as Catholic popes for the last 2,000 years, leading all those people astray.<<

Not really. Catholicism didn’t really start until the 300s so it hasn’t been 2000 years yet. Although Simon Magus was pretty influential in Rome already during apostolic times.

>> I suppose that that everyone that lived and called themselves Christian until Martin Luther came along all burned in hell because they were following satan and his evil religion<<

Oh no. Many who were referred to as Christians were faithful followers of Christ. The Roman Catholic Church tried it’s best to eliminate them but failed for the most part.

>>You need to get away from the fantasy Dan Brown novels.<<

I don’t know any Dan Brown and don’t read novels. Well, other then when doing research into Catholic belief. Some of that is pure fantasy novel type stuff.

No, not like that at all. There is a difference between a STATE funeral and a Catholic funeral.

Catholicism gave Kennedy's murdering, adulterous lifestyle and commie friendly socialistic policies its stamp of approval by giving him a Catholic funeral, just as the did for Chavez.

There are no popes in the body of Christ period. So it’s a rather mute point as the body of Christ is concerned.

That was Catholic with a large C. With a small c it means the universal body of Christ which the RCC is NOT. When you understand the difference you will cease to be Catholic but will leave that apostate cult and become a born again believer and part of the universal (catholic) body of Christ.

And the CATHOLIC CHURCH hypocritically gave Kennedy and Chavez CATHOLIC funerals, honoring and validating their immoral lifestyles in direct violation of its own teachings.

But if your odd little cult wants to live the lie, go for it.

That's not the first time that Christianity has been called a cult and a lie.

Back a few hundred years ago after calling us that they killed us.

Yes, for various actions such as spreading the Word of God to all the people.

One guy was burned alive tied to a stake.

There's some more history for ya.

And the PROTESTANT BAPTIST CHURCH hypocritically gave King a funeral befitting a head of state, honoring and validating his immoral lifestyles in direct violation of its own teachings.

Noise. Calling someone Christian means little, especially when they reject Our Lord’s clear Word and His Church.

What do you care sweetie? You are certain you have all the answers, why do you care what the True Church teaches?

Pelosi, biden and cuomo are proud catholics and there are enough catholics who are proud to have them, they keep voting for them.. kind of like a vote of confidence on their proud beliefs with regards to things like abortion and gay marriage...
That is your church... maybe their tithes are too good to give up....
