And, of course, we should all remember II Pet 3:8 But of this one thing be not ignorant, my beloved, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

It’s peanut butter jelly time. Time flies when you’re making it, but when it’s sitting there on your desk and you want to eat it but can’t because it’s only 10am and you’ve already had breakfast, time drags on forever.

Excellent point. Also, the hours drag until it’s Five O’clock Somewhere.

Time is what keeps everything from happening all at once, a lattice or framework upon which we live out our lives, a canvas upon which we paint the picture for others to see, though we ourselves may see it not.

That's why I don't get wrapped up in age of earth discussions - we really have no idea of the flow-rate of time in ages past. We think we know, but have no way to test it (to get outside space-time for an objective view).

In the fullness of glass, it’s always five o’clock somewhere.

Thanks for the post & ping. Like Msgr. Pope I enjoy meditating on the concept of a Creator Who transcends time.
Not that I’m all that far up on the curve of understanding...

A fishfly upon hatching will swim to the surface, fly towards a light, have sex then die.......You would think that evolution would cause them to give up sex so they could live longer.

What is time? Some say it is merely a measure of change. But that doesnt really make a lot of sense since change doesnt happen at a steady pace at all.Not quite true. Change is motion that has been artificially "recorded" by the measurement of time.
It is accurate to say, then, that time is the measurement we employ to record motion.
