We should all be aware that there are many people who name the name of Jesus but are not helping homosexual born-again Christians become who Christ really wants them to be. I will not belabor this point, but I will call out these "wolves in sheep's clothing" for what they are, based on what they are doing, regardless of how well-intentioned they may be. Firstly, there are those who seem to have only condemnation, and no compassion, for those who have turned out to be homosexual. They are quick to point out the sinfulness of homosexual behavior, but seem to ignore the fact that God loves homosexual people and wants them to repent and receive the good news just as much as He wants the rest of us to do so. Secondly, there are the purveyors of "gay theology", who tell homosexual people that God approves of homosexual sex and that it is not necessary for them to repent in order to spend their eternity in heaven (3). And thirdly, there are those who teach the "gay gospel", saying that, although God considers homosexual sex to be sinful, he does not require repentance in this case because His grace somehow gives homosexual people a dispensation, or exemption, that will enable them to spend their eternity in heaven despite their sinful lifestyle (4). Many of the homosexual, born-again Christians have believed these heresies and will, therefore, have to reject them in order to repent and become the men and women that God intended them to be all along.

Homosexuals NEED to repent.
You’re wrong.
1 John 2:29 has been begotten
1 John 4:7 has been born
1 John 5:1 has been born
1 John 5:18 having been born
1 John 1:13 were born
All of those passages show past tense. How much clearer can it be?
Jesus says that believing = done deal. We HAVE eternal life. By believing we HAVE PASSED from death to life.
NO waiting to the end to find out.
Can't get much clearer than that.
Why would we follow your theology when God tells us differently???
2Co_5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
We are a new man...We have been born again...
Col_3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Joh_5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
It's a done deal...You can be born again, now, as well...All you have to do is believe and ask...
Its obvious that some people get their ideas from somewhere other than scripture.
>> “Jesus Himself told people that their faith had saved them.” <<
.
Yes, he did, and he alone could know who would be saved.
28* And now, children, remain in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not be put to shame by him at his coming. 29If you consider that he is righteous, you also know that everyone who acts in righteousness is begotten by him.
1 John, chapter 4
God’s Love and Christian Life.
7* Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God. 8Whoever is without love does not know God, for God is love.
1 John, chapter 5
Faith is Victory over the World.
1* Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is begotten by God, and everyone who loves the father loves [also] the one begotten by him.a
18We know that no one begotten by God sins; but the one begotten by God he protects, and the evil one cannot touch him.
1John Chapter 1 — does not have 13 verses.
You are using a strange Bible to have all these quotes in past tense.
In my Bible they are stated in the present tense....proving, it pays to get the correct Bible.
Here. Biblehub for parallel translations.
Young’s Literal Translation
1 John 2:29 - if ye know that he is righteous, know ye that every one doing the righteousness, of him hath been begotten.
Young’s Literal Translation
1 John 4:7
Beloved, may we love one another, because the love is of God, and every one who is loving, of God he hath been begotten, and doth know God;
Young’s Literal Translation
1 John 5:1 Every one who is believing that Jesus is the Christ, of God he hath been begotten, and every one who is loving Him who did beget, doth love also him who is begotten of Him:
Young’s Literal Translation
1 John 5:18 We have known that every one who hath been begotten of God doth not sin, but he who was begotten of God doth keep himself, and the evil one doth not touch him;
When looking at the Greek, the only version which translates it wrong is the Catholic one.
And there is no difference between someone who has been born of God and one who IS born of God. In either case, being born of God is a present reality in their lives.
We are now seated in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
It’s a done deal.
Proving that leave it to a Catholic to get snarky.
Couldn’t you have just asked if he was sure that he he had the correct reference instead of making false accusations?
And theres bunches more like that. To think that one waits until after the last trump shows a total lack of understanding scripture.
BTW In most instances when ever I post scripture or something about scripture I use all versions and also check the Greek original.
LOL I had type 1 John 1:13 when it should have been John 1:13. She was just hoping for a gotcha.
Can a pedophile ever loose his or her attraction to children? I don't think so. It is a mental illness that can never be cured. It might be able to be controlled, but it will never be cured.
In fact, I would say the same thing about almost all mental illnesses. Is there really any mental illness that we can cure?
Don't we really just control the mentally ill with therapy and drugs?
Agreed. He also told them to "sin no more". Don't recall anywhere where He forgave anyone who said "I am proud of my sin, I'm going to keep doing it, and you must celebrate me because of it or suffer the consequences". It's obvious that Jesus wouldn't be welcome to have a show on A&E.
I just knew it was a mistake.
One of the principles of our Faith is that there are not degrees of sin. Sin is sin. My understanding as a New Testament Christian is that all sin is forgivable except for blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
I'm sure that Homosexual born-again Christians exist just as cigarette-smoking, heroin-shooting, wife-beating, and profane Christians exist.
Despite a person's sin (and we all have sinned) it is not for you or I to stand as judge for what's in someone's heart of hearts. That is the Lord's concern.
