That type of thing has been taught for decades in your NAB commentary , and still is on the Vatican's own web site.

On Saturday, Radio Vatican said Pope Francis had said,

“In the Gospel, Jesus does not become angry, but pretends to when the disciples do not understand him,”

IOW, the pope claims Jesus engages in deceit........

Mark 3:5 And he looked around at them with anger (orgé), grieved at their hardness of heart, and said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored.

Orgé
Definition: anger, wrath, passion; punishment, vengeance.

Doesn’t look like pretend to me.

If Jesus really does 'pretend' to be angry but isn't really what else does he pretend?

Well; we have THIS recorded in the Bible:

Luke 13:32

Jesus replied, "Go tell that fox that I will keep on casting out demons and healing people today and tomorrow; and the third day I will accomplish my purpose.

So; was He REALLY talking about a FOX or not?

I heard someone say one time that when Jesus wept he was weeping for the two mourning sisters and what they must be feeling when their brother died. What? These both seem to be attempts to dehumanize him. He felt what we feel. No need to create distance between us and him in that way. Just makes him hard to understand and intellectualizes.

God is the Sovereign First Cause, the Secondary Cause should tread lightly concerning the audacity of the Sovereign.

Just think of the controversy that would be created amongst christians if Jesus returned to the world.

"He said this but He mean't that"

"He didn't mean that, what He really mean't was...."

"That's not Jesus, how do you know it's really Him?"

"That guy isn't Jesus, he's the anti-Christ..."

And thinking to myself, if Jesus returned, would he be wearing a suit and tie or bluejeans and a t-shirt?

"That guy isn't Jesus, Jesus would never wear a suit and tie!"

"That guy isn't Jesus, Jesus would certainly dress better than just bluejeans and a t-shirt"

AND, would he be walking or taking a taxi or driving a Corvette like the pastor of the last church I visited?

So many unknowns........../s I guess
