Prayer Request for Troubled Boy and His Father.
Vanity By Morgana | Morgana

Posted on 08/23/2013 6:27:36 PM PDT by Morgana

Two people I know need your prayers. A friend of mine legally adopted a troubled boy years ago. This man has done every thing he could to help this boy. I can't express in words to all of you what this man has done to try to help this child. You will all just have to believe me when I say this father has sacrificed much to do what he can. However the child still has much anger and is acting out in ways that are very dangerous. I also fear the child is getting worse as he gets older.

This child will turn 18 in a year and I fear he will throw away all the Christian teachings his father has tried to instill in him and do something that will cause great harm to either himself or his father.

My friend prays for this boy so much and I can tell he is sick to death. This father needs prayer to guide him through all this.

Thank you all,

Morgana

Prayers sent.

St. Monica, pray for us.

If your friend is Catholic, he may want to ask for an intercession through St. Monica.

Prayers offered for your friend and his son. I knew of a situation close to what you describe and believe it or not, when the boy turned 20 or 21, all those Christian values kicked in. It was like a complete transformation. He's almost 30 now and is a young man his parents are extremely proud of. May the same thing happen to your friend.

I've prayed for your friend and his son. Your friend can take comfort in knowing he's not in this fight alone.

I've recently found some very relevant prayers on the site:

www.catholichealingprayers.com.

They come with the imprimatur of Archbishop Chaput so they contain sound doctrine. Prayers to the Holy Spirit and to St. Michael are never a bad idea.

I work with someone who adopted a baby boy and raised him with much love. He always had problems because of his birth mother’s drug abuse during pregnancy and is now in jail for soliciting underage girls on the internet.

Prayer Warriors, we have our work cut out for us on this one. So sad for this wonderful father...Will pray that the Holy Spirit will intervene.

Has the young man seen a physician (psychiatrist, not psychologist?)...because perhaps he is schizophrenic or evey by-polar and can be treated with medication and then receive Christian counseling. Just a thought, based on personal experience in the family; not that it solves every problem, but he needs help before he harms himself or someone else.

There is a book called "Bad Childhood Good Life" by Dr Laura Schlessinger that has been helpful to me. It contains many unique insights, and gives good advice for overcoming childhood troubles.

Maybe it can help the young man and his father in dealing with whatever occurred before his adoption?

I posted the link above, so you can see what the book is about.

Lord Jesus fix the soul of the boy and put the light of Holy Faith in him and draw him to Thyself and stay with him forever. Bless his father and count his heroic works onto his salvation as well.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, in the company of saints in heaven we pray, amen.

Check out the original manuscripts and you will see that Paul was speaking of homosexuals also. Every biblical scholar know that for which he spoke.

Besides, why is it you ignore what God said. What Christ said is what Paul reiterated. Why do you ignore the words of GOD?

Who are you talking to here? You posted to yourself and are asking “Besides, why is it you ignore what God said. What Christ said is what Paul reiterated. Why do you ignore the words of GOD?”
