Thank you for this E.
I believe Ann is absolutely correct; I have been grieving Pope Benedict’s decision, I believe he was deceived and tricked by satan to resign. He may not have even realized what he was saying. People should shut the hell up. And now we have a demon for pope: I will not capitalize either satan or the current pope.
Deep, deep trouble? Really. You sound a little like Obama on the sequester.
Anne, now tell us what you think about Christ hanging out with whores and tax collectors....
No kidding. If watching the depth of bows is important to you, spend time watching the President.
I am going to cut the Pope some slack on this considering his age, but I have noticed over the years a decrease in genuflecting in front of the Tabernacle by priests, altar servers, and the general population. The fact that it is no longer a requirement to genuflect or kneel before receiving the Holy Eucharist is aiding in this mindset. My knees aren’t the greatest, but I genuflect as far down as I can go when entering and exiting my pew and when I walk past the altar where Jesus is. I also go down on two knees when the Blessed Sacrament is exposed. It hurts like the dickens, and sometimes I have trouble getting up again, but as long as I can, I will.
I don't recall anyone but the Moslems teaching the doctrine that the physically or mentally handicapped are doomed to hell because they can't engage in the proper contortions.
Are you sure you're not in the wrong church or something?
well buddy, you got shut down, now deal with it
he has one lung and pins in his knee. Ann is getting ocd
“I genuflect in Church when I have something to hold onto so I can get back up, but left on my own with Arthritis I cannot get back up.
I am only 70. The Pope is 6 years older than me.’

And I’m 80 and have the same problem. This woman is an idiot.
.
Ah, plug it up, lady.
The guy is not a young man. I wonder how many older people struggle silently in church because they don’t want to make a scene. I know that my mom did.
I’ve had many friends visit my church who weren’t Catholic (funerals, weddings) and they thought that it was some kind of exercise class.
If the tabernacle is present at the altar, then the celebrant genuflects ONLY when entering and on leaving, but NOT during the mass itself. If there is no tabernacle present (like at most modern US churches), the celebrant genuflects at the presentation of the host, the chalice, and at communion. So it sounds like this took place at an altar that has a tabernacle.
People are getting desperate to find fault with this man. He didn’t genuflect. So what?
Peter asked jesus that - why do you go in a house of sin, whores, house of a tax collector ,ect.. jesus says, “Thats where the sinners are”..
oh good grief
“Didnt they come up with some punishment devices or something a long time ago? Time to wheel a couple of them out”

Compared to the military junta accusations, this is nothing. I think the Pope won’t lose sleep over this criticism.
