How low, Obama can go... Using the JudeaChristian 'Golden Rule' to promote Gay "marriage"?

Mr. Obama on Wednesday cited his Christian faith as a driving force behind the "evolution" of his thinking on gay marriage.
"When we think about our faith, the thing at root that we think about is, not only Christ sacrificing himself on our behalf, but it's also the Golden Rule, you know, treat others the way you would want to be treated," Mr. Obama told ABC News' Robin Roberts on Wednesday.
Washington Times - May 10, 2012

It's also horrific how Chris Mathews today like other lib. make it a "civil-rights' issue...

--

- Hillel and Jesus

- Hillel and the Golden Rule

- ...much has been made of the Talmudic story (Shabbat 31a) in which Hillel, when asked by a prospective convert to Judaism to teach him the whole Torah while he stood on one leg, replied: 'That which is hateful unto you do not do to your neighbor. This is the whole of the Torah, The rest is commentary. Go forth and study.'
Theologians, Jewish and non-Jewish, have compared this version of the Golden Rule, stated in negative form, with that of Jesus, in the positive form.

Well, since President Clouseau wants to bring religion into the conversation, I wonder if the issue of gay marriage came up during his meeting with representatives of The Moose Limb Brothahood when they came to visit him a few weeks ago.

Gays are not discriminated against. A gay man may marry any woman he chooses just as long as she agrees, just like I can.

But he conveniently forgets The Seven Laws of Noah

http://www.simpletoremember.com/articles/a/seven-laws-of-noah/

Sexual transgression
All people originate from sexual relations, and so the laws which govern them are our most basic ‘constitution’, testifying to the Divine origin of humankind. Non-Jews are not commanded to marry, but they are encouraged to do so, and they are forbidden to have relations with the wife of another man. Male homosexuality, incest and bestial relations are also forbidden under the same heading
Murder
Theft
Idolatry
Cursing the Name
Eating the limb of a living animal

Not to Mention Romans 1

In a twisted way, he is almost correct. However, allowing abominations in the name of being Biblical is much more akin to blaspheme of the Holy Spirit - the one unforgivable sin in a post-Cross covenant.

The Front also asked Mursi to reinstate Egypt's Islamic identity, including instating sharia (Islamic law) as its main source of jurisprudence.

Is this supposed to be a joke by the Messiah? Men having sex with men marriage is mentioned in the bible and the punishment for such is not too favorable: Leviticus 20:13:

Leviticus 20:13 >>>>>>>>>King James Version (KJV)

13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Literally, homosexuals should be stoned in the bible. It may not be genteel, but that is the way it is in the bible.

Even Thomas Jefferson thought homosexuals should be castrated (not my view, btw....).

The U.S. Congress officially recognized the Noahide Laws in legislation which was passed by both houses. Congress and the President of the United States, George Bush, indicated in Public Law 102-14, 102nd Congress, that the United States of America was founded upon the Seven Universal Laws of Noah, and that these Laws have been the bedrock of society from the dawn of civilization. They also acknowledged that the Seven Laws of Noah are the foundation upon which civilization stands and that recent weakening of these principles threaten the fabric of civilized society, and that justified preoccupation in educating the Citizens of the United States of America and future generations is needed. For this purpose, this Public Law designated March 26, 1991 as Education Day, U.S.A.

The new “Minority” of GAY is the only minority you can actually CHOOSE to be a part of.

(Unless you are a Democrat claiming to be an American Indiana, then use Racial Preference to advance your career.)

The church in which I was raised, Marriage was considered a “Sacrament”... sanctified as the word of God. It stated that God’s word was LAW. Over the years, people have chosen to “pick and choose” which words of God they chose to believe or endorse. These people were called hippocrates.

If you don’t pick and choose your Biblical passage of choice and use the entire 66 books as a whole, you will see that the LORD says very specific things about certain topics for our protection and well being. From the beginning, homosexuality was called an ‘abomination’. So why do you think they changed the term from homosexuality to ‘gay’. It’s all to change your thinking, to the way of the evil one and make it look all happy, correct and full of light. That is exactly the same tactic the evil one used in the garden of Eden story. God instructs his human creations how to live and what not to do so that they could live and be blessed by Him. Then the evil one slithers and sneaks around, with forked tongue, and says to them...”did God really say that”? Now we have that same principle on a grand scale. The president of the U.S., slithers in, gives us his interpretation of the word of God, and whammo... it’s wonderful and so diverse for all to accept an abomination. “Did God really say that”...
For those who understand... “As in the days of Noah”...

You are right. Very much in tune with the Scripture which warns against “twisting the Scriptures to one’s own destruction”. Case in point.

Selective application of the golden rule? He sure didn’t use it when he said that cop acted stupidly. Or when he criticized the justices. Or when he slammed Zimmerman.

Hypocrite.

Folks - take a look at this - he describes the meaning of the term “gay” as it EVOLVED. I’ve heard Rush talk about him. He’s incredible. I guess there’s a reason why we don’t see him on mainstream news!!!

I heard two guys on FOX around 11:30 or so (EST) discussing this subject - pro and con. I don’t even know who the guys were but the one speaking FOR gays said he is from the midwest and if you’re from the midwest and not gay, it’s none of your business!!! THIS, AFTER they’ve done all they possibly can to shove it in our faces??? It’s none of our business if our entire culture is destroyed to suit their small percentage of the population?

You're correct! But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Matthew 24:37) And what were the days of Noah like? Judges 21:25, In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes. How much plainer can it be today? There is NO tolerance for intolerance anymore. What is good is called bad and what is bad is called good. We are truly in the last days.

What irks me the most about Obama saying he is basing his views upon his "Christian" faith is the total ignorance of what the Bible actually says. Bill Clinton was known for misquoting Scripture all the time in an attempt to couch his views in terms others would accept. He had the audacity to carry his big family Bible into church one Easter Sunday morning with the anticipation of being "serviced" by Monica as soon as he got back to his oval office! Hypocrisy, thy name is politician!
