First off, God was not speaking of a Church...Whether it be Morman, Catholic or Jehovah Witness...
God is speaking of the 'church'...The house of God or church is not a building...
And if you look closely, you'll see that it is God who is the pillar and ground of the truth...

I believe that disciples were all the people following Christ at the time. The Apostles were in a different category.
Trying to be facetious? What evidence is there that Christ founded the LDS Church, as compared to the evidence that does exist that shows Christ founded the Catholic Church?
“Mrs Rogers” might be entirely accurate and the nurse who told her that might be misinformed, unintelligent, or, yes, untruthful. There are lots of ways it can come to pass that somebody might say something that is not true.
The Body of Christ was founded by Christ Himself and it includes people from all denominations, including Catholics, who are believers. God did not make ONE TRUE CHURCH that is a denomination. ALL of us who follow Christ as the OTC and His Body.
Same old, same old, “Not properly catechized,” poor catholics, never ... blah, blah, blah. Many saw the truth and left. My husband did when he was born again. Think what you like about him, but he became a finer person after he left the OTC than he was before. He would never do the things he does now if he had stayed there.
