The official motto of the neeners: "If you're not a neener, you're obviously Dr Steve"

If you're not a Neener who knows too much, you might just be Dr. Steve. Though, if Dr. Steve picked the name "helen hunt," that's creepy on another level.

I well remember receiving an email from the former drstevej in which he rudely, gracelessly, and childishly told me to "go to helen hunt."

Actually, among other things, drsteve was quite fond of telling folks to take it up with his secretary, "Helen Hunt."

If the M.O. fits, you can't aquit.

Have a nice day boys. I'm done.

"Go to Helen Hunt" (drsteve's secretary) was a much used Drsteveism. I was not the only one to be addressed by that remark.

Honestly Gamecock, you probably thought the same thing, didn't you?

I certainly don't see Helen Hunt denying any relationship with drsteve. Do you? Will she deny it? I don't think so.

Didn't think so.

What one posts is very telling. For example, obviously you are not from the South. In the South such comments are routinely tossed around. Kinda like "Your Momma," which according to my daughter is making a comeback.

Don't participate in duplicity, Gamey.

The "father" comment, the style, the "helenhunt" name, and the tone all say we're dealing with the embittered former troll, stevej.

Interestingly, drsteve always had a certain tendency that has also just shown up.

Dr. Geisler hemmed and hawed, and gave an answer about manuscript evidence, but never really answered the question - leaving me with the inescapable conclusion that one of the foremost Protestant apologists of his day didn't have an answer.

I have yet to find anyone who was able to defend the position that the Bible is self-authenticating. Paul himself worries about forgeries. We don't even KNOW who the authors are of many of the writings, using internal evidence alone. Thus, without the Church to authenticate it, we very well could be reading Gnostic Scriptures and wouldn't know the difference...

But the first step in dealing with any claim of prophecy, healing, or any other miracle is profound, rigorous skepticism.

True. Two thousand years has seen a lot of kooks and wild imaginations making various claims of divine revelation. I am satisfied with the Church's stance in this area - that private revelations are to be believed (if found worthy) only be those personally revealed. Interpretation of divine revelations will always be filtered through one's own human experiences and paradigms. Only the Apostolic Faith is public revelation.

Regards
