Arnold Schwarzenegger's top two gubernatorial opponents plan to sign a letter threatening to boycott the one debate he is going to attend unless organizers switch to an unscripted format, aides said Thursday.
Aides to Democratic Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante and Republican state Sen. Tom McClintock said they agreed to send jointly a letter to the California Broadcasters Association asking for the format change.

If Arnold's campaign had already tried to get the
format changed then they should have no problem
signing the letter.

When is McClintock ever going to run against Bustamante?

(R)nulled really IS a nubmskull! It's a whole new ballgame if two or three of the top candidates boycott. If Bustamove and McClintock don't participate, the debate is effecitvely canceled due to the fact that Arnold is too chicken to participate in an OPEN debate.

This is the debate Arnold is calling the "Superbowl of Debates." Some Superbowl, if the "teams" are a no show.

LMAO, that's one of the best jobs of putting lipstick on a pig that I've ever seen. McClintock is signing a letter with Cruz Bustamante against his republican competitor. Ha ha ha ha, ahah ha ha ha.
Tom McClintock said they agreed to send jointly a letter to the California Broadcasters Association asking for the format change....
...Aides to Green Party candidate Peter Camejo and independent Arianna Huffington were also on a conference call to discuss the letter. Camejo said later he was undecided, and Huffington's communications director said the campaign was waiting to see the letter before committing.
FoxNews' on air report stated that Bustamante is slumping in the polls. Never fear, McClintock to the rescue. After carping for weeks because Arnold wouldn't attend a debate, this man now threatens to not show up when he does.
If nothing else, McClintock will make a good main character for a new cartoon in the leading liberal newspapers in the state.

Arnold's response: I never asked to have the questions in advance. LMAO McClintock, you've finally snapped!

Sorry, but McClintock has lost all credibility. He teamed up (conspired) with a (D)emocrat against a (R)epublican. Even if it is just an (R), you don't join forces with the enemy to back-stab someone who identifies with your party -- if only nominally.
While Arnold may be a nominal Republican, Bustamante is a full-fledged, left-wing, dyed-in-the-wool, California Democrat -- an evil incarnate. McClintock is now unclean. So, until he is submerged in Holy Water, he has to stand in the corner.

That's fine with me. It ought to be interesting with no career politicians who know how to spin and weasel out of answering questions no matter how much lead time they have to answer questions.
And, Senator McClintock, please don't join sides with the democrats.

All hat and no cattle? Who's been pi--ing in his pants for weeks because Schwarzenegger wasn't in the debate. Now "hot shot" is threatening not to show up when he does. All hat and not cattle? Yep, you called it!
To: jmstein7
It also proves that McClintock is just another sleazy politician -- as bad as any Democrat -- who is out for HIMSELF!

"Maybe Cruz Bustamante and Tom McClintock saw the questions and decided they didn't like them," he said. "If the candidates want to break their promises that's their prerogative. But we set the rules and we're going stick to them," he said.
I thought they were looking forward to this debate. Obviously, they are shall we say, a bit, apprehensive? LOL!!! This is turning into a joke, starting with the debate man himself, McClintock, not to mention the Rat Bustamante.

(There aren't enough conservatives in CA to vote for Tom and still have him to win. That's a fact)
