About the only good thing on PBS now is Red Green. Folks, if you want funny, see this show. What a riot!
Scientific American Frontiers used to be good, but even that has begun to take a dull turn.

God does like irony, doesn't He? :) Indeed He does. It is a useful teaching tool, for the teachable.

I probably stand corrected on whether this documentary was actually on PBS - someone else mentioned seeing one on the Discovery Channel, and that might have been where I saw it also - it was several weeks ago - one thing's for sure - these programs are repeated so often it's going to show up again on the schedule of some channel probably sooner than later.....

Ohhhh,
I was born in Odessa - by the Black Sea
I'm so smart - I can count to three!
But don't you laugh, I'm smarter than thee!
Cause . . .
I was born in Odessa - by the Black Sea!!!
Sorry, I couldn't help myself, idle minds are the devil's playgrond. Actually, I'd like to go visit Odessa.

Glad this was reposted, has anything come of the further research???

This is great news. After reading Ryan & Pitman's book, I'm convinced the flooding of the Black Sea is probably the key to the origins of the Indo-Europeans and also probably a key to the Mideastern civilization that arose after the event. I hope these explorers find more than post flood shipwrecks. Keep us posted. This seems to be a very slow moving story developing.

Anaerobic? Mummified? Are they hoping for adipocered bodies?
To: vannrox
Can't wait to read about and see the pics of what they have found.
They will have a rough time keeping the finds from being destroyed once they are brought to the surface.

What have they found? It looks like this was done a few years ago, but what were the results?

Of course, if you were living in the area at the time, you'd probably assume that any flood of that magnitude was 'global'--assuming again that you thought of the world you lived in as a globe.
