Did anyone else just see Geraldo Rivera's interview with Hamas leader Abdel Aziz Rantisi? After kissing his terrorist hiney for the duration of the interview, and speaking in a pleading, whining tone throughout, Geraldo bid him "good luck" at its conclusion. Astounding ....he wished good luck to a terrorist who is personally responsible for the killing of countless innocents.
He should be ashamed of himself.
Rantisi, from the few words I could understand, just kept droning on about "the occupation" and "Israel's fault" ...etc. ...The usual.

What am I missing? I thought Geraldo had found his Jewish roots or did I dream that!
I won't watch Geraldo!

Jerry Rivers isn't much different than many in his so-called profession. They would sell their mothers out for a stupid interview.

Geraldo is Half Jewish, so I am rather surprised to read this. Perhaps he just wants peace? Maybe he buys into that possibility, but I don't.

Now we know why he was willing to give the military position away to the Iraqi's.
As to his assertion that the guys from the 101st. Airborne just loved him......I have personal knowledge of the opposite!
The man is a traitor!

Wanting peace is one thing; all sane people want peace. Wishing a terrorist leader good luck is another thing entirely.

Thanks for posting that information! This does put him in a whole different light and I was shocked with him to begin with when he drew that stupid map and then talked about where they were headed in a short period of time.
Then he tried to coverup about how he wasn't asked to leave, etc.
Thanks for the TRUTH!

I am sure he would have been granted the interview if he had called him a killer and an SOB throughout the interview. I appreciated hearing the warped perspective of this sicko, and if Geraldo has to do this in order for people to be able to hear what he was saying, so be it.
To: oceanview
That's a pretty extreme position to take. I certainly don't blame him for getting the interview, nor did I expect him to shout obscenities at his guest. I merely expected him to ask tough, straightforward questions in a professional (non-whining) tone. .....And again, not to wish him "good luck."
Alas, he couldn't even handle that.
He's a first-class putz.

So then you approve of the statements by Peter Arnett?

And you think CNN was right to hide the murderous details of the Saddam Hussein regime in order to keep the bureau open?

Its one thing for the interviewer to have an opinion, like if Geraldo had told him those bus bombings were looking good. At that point, a judgement can be rendered regarding approval or disapproval. Its another to have to smooch the guy with some platitudes like "good luck" to get him on the air. Let people hear for themselves what these sickos have to say. Arnett's interview blew up and played to our side big, he was shown to be a kook, and the "US is losing the war" nonsense helped to discredit the liberal media in general and the Dem politicians who hitched their wagon to it.
To: oceanview
He didn't have to wish him luck, at the end of the interview, no less, when he had already obtained what he wanted from Rantisi.

maybe he knew his cell phone was going to be traced by the IDF, sort of like Tony Soprano wishing somebody "good luck" when he knows he's going to get whacked. Hey, it may not have been a good choice of words, but I hardly think Geraldo supports Hamas.
