It's gotta get hot in Florida wearing that get up.

I agree. I see Muslim women walking around my area, southern California, and I wonder why they don't drop from heat stroke.

I used to see a group of local high school girls jog past my office window each day. One of them was a Muslim, wearing a long robe and head scarf. Just watching her made me want to faint from the heat.

Actually, I find that I am actually cooler when I cover myself when it is hot than when I wear things like shorts, sleeveless shirts, etc.

Even before Islam came along, people in the deserts would wear flowing robes and cover their heads w/ turbans or veils to keep the sun off them. When I see someone outside in the heat wearing shorts and a t-shirt, I instantly think of a baked potato. (and not to bright to be inviting skin cancer).

As a fellow redhead, you understand the dangers of the sun.
