This guy was facing possible a possible war crimes trial in Denmark. Now that he sees his country about to be liberated, it would seem to be a no-brainer to disappear from the Danish scene only to reappear in Iraq after the regime change.

Sounds like he had ample motive to make himself scarce. I don't think we would want someone like him in post-Saddam Iraq, anyway.

Come on everybody!

Think about it for a minute:

1. Denmark is on our side.
2. This guy could not just 'disappear' without sanction. But this 'disappearance gives deniability to the Denmark authorities.
3. Rumor puts him in Saudi Arabia.
4. This guy is the General Powell of the Iraqi Army.
5. Don't you think he could be useful in organizing defections and surrenders?

Let's hope it is that and not one of Saddam/Chirac's operatives capturing him...

Also, even after the eventual surrender, we're going to need Iraqis to be in charge of civilian policing.

Chris Core was just saying on WMAL radio in D.C. that there have been indications that a lot of the Iraqi army is not going to fight.
