Iraq destroys three more al-Samoud missiles, a launcher, five engines - UN
BAGHDAD (AFX) - Iraq has destroyed three more banned al-Samoud 2 missiles, plus a missile launcher and five missile engines, a UN spokesman said.
"Three more al-Samoud 2 missiles were destroyed, as well as one missile launcher and five missile engines," Hiro Ueki, spokesman for UN inspectors in Iraq, said.
"But one of the teams of inspectors is not yet back, so we have to await their return for a final report," he added.

Saddam ..... Your Islamic hero!
Only because he is a threat to Israel. Otherwise you would be sleeping through this. All your stinking posts put you down four square on the side of Jihad against Israel. This is your obsessive hobby. Stupid is as stupid does.

Just out of curiousity, has anyone actually SEEN the evidence that the missiles have been destroyed??
Are we just to take the word of the lackey UN "inspectors"? Why won't they allow pictures of the destruction process to be released???
Does this bring to mind a massive con job? Maybe the missiles aren't as "destroyed" as the UN wants us to believe.
Show us the pictures, UN, or else we can regard this as another "blow job" by Blixie.

What a bunch of crap. First they don't declare them. THEN, they start to, supposedly, destroy them BEHIND closed doors. Who's to say that these missles aren't the "throw away" missles? Ya know, they ones that Iraq COULDN'T find the working parts for? Were these MEANT to be found?
are any of these weapons coming off of deployed positions?

I was wondering the same thing. Does destroy mean unscrewing the bolts, and placing the peices in bin a, bin b, and so on?? Why not let us destroy by exploding them in full view for cameras? Iraq has 100 of these you do 5 a day it will take a month? Anthrax, why not tell us where it is now and lets clean it up. Enough of the lies and games? BOOM all destroyed.

Actually, in truth, the Iraqis did declare these missiles all along; the unresolved question entailed their precise range, not their existence. The missiles weren't ruled in violation by Blix until two weeks ago...

I'm willing to wager that the destroyed missiles are ones that are defective.

You love Saddam and any Muslim who will make Jihad against Israel. You fool no one. Anyone who sees your Jew obsessed posts knows this so don't waste time in denial. You are Jew obsessed, as much as the average Muslim.

At this rate, the entire stock of admitted missiles should be depleted about the middle of June. Of course, in those underground plants beneath the "palaces" there are very probably something like three times that number, many already armed and encoded with launch targets. Plus none of the other stockpiles of either delivery systems, or weapons of mass destruction themselves, have even begun to be fully enumerated, let alone the process of destruction begun.
Meanwhile, France continues to import Iraqi oil, and cash continues to flow to the coffers of the Ba'athist party for disposition at the direction of Saddam Hussein, perhaps one of the more formidable weapons to which he has access.

I guess I don't understand just why it takes so long to destroy these things. Seems like it would be real easy. Pick some uninhabited area, put in the launch codes and fire the missle. On impact, the missle and warhead is destroyed. I somehow believe they could destroy all of them in a very short period of time, with no questions as to their final status.
