At this rate, the entire stock of admitted missiles should be depleted about the middle of June. Of course, in those underground plants beneath the "palaces" there are very probably something like three times that number, many already armed and encoded with launch targets. Plus none of the other stockpiles of either delivery systems, or weapons of mass destruction themselves, have even begun to be fully enumerated, let alone the process of destruction begun.
Meanwhile, France continues to import Iraqi oil, and cash continues to flow to the coffers of the Ba'athist party for disposition at the direction of Saddam Hussein, perhaps one of the more formidable weapons to which he has access.

I guess I don't understand just why it takes so long to destroy these things. Seems like it would be real easy. Pick some uninhabited area, put in the launch codes and fire the missle. On impact, the missle and warhead is destroyed. I somehow believe they could destroy all of them in a very short period of time, with no questions as to their final status.
