Anti-war activists will hold a news conference Tuesday in San Francisco calling for a shutdown of the city's financial district if war breaks out.
Representatives from the group organizing the news conference, Direct Action to Stop the War, will call on Bay Area residents to walk out of school and work if war is declared, and conduct mass civil disobedience in San Francisco.

When two or more conspire to brake the law. They have a name for that dont they?

A noteworthy voice at Tuesday's news conference will be that of former Pacific Stock Exchange CEO Warren Langley. Langley, an armed services veteran, will join Margo Smith of the Gray Panthers, Renee Saucedo of the San Francisco Day Laborers Program, and Kate Raphael, queer activist, in denouncing the war.
"Former" CEO. Just shows stupidity doesn't respect financial status.

Good! That means more businesses moving to Texas, to get away from these emotionally deranged people and a very poor business environment.

Shutting down the bathhouses is something they vehemently opposed in the early 'eighties'--now it dawns on them to just do it.
And this is bad in what way?
It's just a plot to produce fodder for a thousand hours of Michael Savage.
You go, girlz.

The group plans to block off buildings and streets, hold sit-ins, and, effectively, paralyze business in San Francisco. Block Traffic??
Well they'll get attention .. but not the kind they are looking for ..

If San Francisco shuts down for a month, who is going to notice? Its not as those they are producing anything of value there. They are net consumers not producers. It will probably save the Fed and State of CA lots of money by having a week or a month off from having to pay for SF to keep running itself into the ground.

They've already run all of the tourists elsewhere and now they'll start working on the financial industry. Very smart! Who will be left to pay for the fools hanging out in downtown...and I used to spend lots of time in SF and loved the city so much...no more!
