The Rev. Al Sharpton's presidential bid is sending shudders through the Democrats' rank and file, who fear that his fiery, racial rhetoric could divide their party and lead to defeat in 2004. Almost 10 months before the presidential primary contests begin, the black civil rights activist is coming under surprisingly sharp attack from Democratic-leaning journals and party activists, who say his agenda is rooted in racial polarization that poses a "nightmarish" scenario for Democrats next year.

Mosely-Brain had only one person to turn out for her first rally...and it was not due to inclimate weather.

Methinks they overestimated her. LOL

Sharpton bid a nightmare for Democrats

We Freepers knew this the moment that Sharpton announced his candidacy. Go, Sharp, go!! You're not being angry and militant enough. You need to hang out with Hillary a lot more, too.

Seems to me I remember a time not so very long ago when all the pro-democrat media were slavering over Al Sharpton.

That was when Hillary used him to discredit Giuliani for police brutality and racism. The New York Times was full of praise for Sharpton's great dignity and wisdom.

In other words, the Sharptons and Jacksons of the world are welcome to help their betters prepare the feast, but they shouldn't expect to sit down at the table with Massa after it's cooked.

The word "on the street" is that the DNC will not attack Sharpton, but rather will let loose the media to destroy Sharpton. The media rarely is used to "eat" one of their own. How will this play out the black voters?

We need to get Republicans organized in open primary states...If Sharpton runs as an independent and we actually get on the ballot, it will mean the death of the democrats in those states.

In fact, if the dems don't put this guy down before 2004, I predict they will have to deal with him again in 2008 - the reason is - if he gets a sizable showing in 2004, perhaps a lot more blacks (with money) will support him in 2008, thereby defeating the dems once again (namely: Hitlery), if she is not in jail by then.

I don't think Sharpton will fall for that, but I could be wrong.

Remember when KKK David Duke ran for US Senate in Lousyiana? Remember when the libs tried to paint the whole Republican Party Dukes's color (hee hee hee!)? Well, isn't this what we have with the present Demorats? Only difference is that the Republican candidates had to, because of the socialist press, disavow David Duke (and rightfully so). The individual lib Demorats can't do this with Sharpton, because if they diss him they risk all of their blacks running off of the plantation or, more likely, staying at home They can't collectively (hee hee hee) do him in for the same reason: the risk deep-sixing their party. Therefore, they will get the press to kill him off for them, so that the Demorat party can survive WITH A CHANCE. This is going to be great to watch, my friends!!!!
